Finally someone who's been wondering also! I've been wondering why still images would be better than video, yet they use the same optic... I guess Video Drivers (hacks) would make sense as to making the video quality better...
i agree with you 100% fantastic phones and brilliant photos but terrible `blotchy` video recording.
i have been researching this and i realy do wonder why. i cant find any information on what optic lenses the k850i uses. all i know it has xenon flash but even full detailed specs dont say what optics were used.
why do you think the video quality is poor and pixelated when they still images are fantastic?
i realy have to kill my curiosity with this and ive been researching for a few months now.
its simple people..everybody knows that all Nseries records video on MP4 format....and all SE phones still recording on 3GPP...an older format...and much lower resolution...taking pictures is a complete different thing...
ok...you're right man...but still...the N95 records video in VGA quality...the K850 records in QVGA only...but they're both grat phones...the K850 has Xenon Flash
i have compared the videos between nokia5700 video (2mpx) and SE K850i video (5mpx)..the SE k850i have better quality videos compared to nokia..because nokia's video looks grainy and a little bit blur..dat shows that ur comment is wrong..
im not talking about the quality of the video itself, im talking about the video dimensions which nokia phones are better since nokia phones can record at vga quality unlike the se that can only record at qvga at max.
I threw out my N95 and got me a k850 instead, the only thing that was better with the N95 was the video quality.. video quality and video resolution ROCKS on N95. (Photos better on K850
słabiutko to 6220classic lepiej nagrywa bo 640x480 i 30fps i też ma 5mpix

try the samsung jet video,,better than n95,k850i,
price are cheap,,,but quality is better,,unlike nokia & sonyericsson high price but quality are very poor..
toping14 1 year ago
but that wouldnt make sense because theres only 1 set of optic lenses and they would work the same way when taking a still shot and video recording.

because, simply a video takes much more power to process, and these lil mobile fones dont got enough processesing power to produce decent video.

sony cyberbershot phones are really good for imaging but very poor in video recording.
the 5mpx video of sony is only a match for nokia n90's 2mpx video.i think n90 is even better at recording vids.

N95: 640x480 VGA 30FPS
K850: 320x240 QVGA (QVGA is Quarter Video Graphics Array) 30fps
N95 is better, is the true...
juniorms27 3 years ago 6
the n95 only has bigger resulution but the k850i has better quality
facelifter2000 3 years ago
no way, N95 is bigger resolution and better quality... are you crazy man??
juniorms27 3 years ago 2
i'm a sony ericsson lover but the n95 does have way better video quality as well as resolution. sorry dude.
Fonejacker2007 3 years ago 2
I'd get n95 for the video quality, but it's a brick... Its volume is 1100cm ish in metric.

true!
But the K850i camera and the Nokia N95 have such a close quality pictures. the Sony is brighter, the nokia is more elegant (in my opinion)
Libanass 4 years ago
yep for me the se is better in imaging than the n95 but against the n82 i dont think so.think theyre quite the same in image quality...
