  • That sounds good man, that look alot like my truck but mine is a 2001 and is lifted 6 inches. Check the vid of mine, its got 4" pipe under it and has 5" tips

  • that sounds fucking good bro

  • @z28pwns thanks man...the video was 3 years ago so she sounds a little different now -- still loud but deeper tone

  • 4" all the way back? cats or no cats?

  • @jonmoore231 still got cats, no muffler. i kept the cats to keep it from popping real bad. 2 3/4" piping underneath, only 4" at the tips.

  • @dmd321 I'm from Guntersville, but go to college at UNA in Florence

  • come on, not even the 8.1. Awsome truck, sounds great!

  • @dinodog1234 not much...mine was $30 (labor and cost of replacement pipe)

  • Good sounding truck, how big are the pipes running to the tips?

  • @ITA662 - 2 3/4" as far as i know. tips are 4"

  • nice ass truck man! makes me jealous! how much power she kickin out?

  • @ragebowhunter93 - not a whole lot. more than stock cause i got a bunch of add-ons.

  • nice thing about this truck is it's easy to do true duals. Just chop off the muffler and install some flowmasters and tailpipes.

  • flowmasters are mufflers. i cut off the flowmasters that came with this truck, replaced the space with pipe, then sold the flowmasters. only cost $30 so i actually made money when i sold the flowmasters

  • badass truck, and roll tide!

  • nice i'm goin wit straight pipes on my trailblazer

  • damn that sounds good!

  • Sounds like a six o slow

  • aint made to be fast and aint used to race

  • why not get the 5.3 sir i cant have you talk to me like this in my office i have costumers on the phone in my waiting room there is an ass for every seat sir get out

  • i have no idea what you just said, but i got this truck because it was well taken care of, i got a good deal, and i've always wanted one. i'm not a 1500 type guy

  • I have a truck that looks jus like that, my wife drives it. I put straights on it and cut the cats out, lets jus say it may be too fuckin loud. Its got the K&N and Jet programmer on it. Dem trucks will get up and go. But thats a nice truck man, sounds good.

  • dose it have a lift and what size tires and on it? Please respond

  • No lift, just a leveling kit for the front..right now the tires are 285/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STT. I'm wanting to go up to 305 mickey thompson mtz, but don't have the money

  • Your truck sounds bad ass too!!!

  • I actually sat there, took a deep breath& said please Jesus make my decision a successful one.. My friends with diesel pickup's were right when they said to do it, so 1500.00 dollars later success.. Thanks for the compliment on the truck!! It's nice getting the nod from other pickup's when they pass by!!

  • $1500!!? thats more than my bumper. i couldn't ever make myself pay that much for something i wasnt sure i would like. i went the easy way with my exhaust..cut off the flowmasters that were on it, replaced with pipe for $30..and sold the flowmasters for $35..haha i made money

  • LOL, originally it was around 1100 for the price of the kit& the installation price.. I goofed on the stack style. The straight stacks resonated the xhaust over the cab real bad& actually rattled my roof.. So, I went with the aussie cut stacks, which I thought of doing originally. That was another 400 beans.. It was an expensive mistake on my part. But, I made 200 off the straight stacks, so I gained some cash back.

  • i have an 04 2500hd and wanting to put straight pipes on it but i dont know what diameter pipe to go with. what size pipe did you use?

  • Mine has 2.5" pipe with 4" tip. Pretty sure the wider it is, the deeper it is, but don't hold me to that. I've also read that you can go too big and lose HP

  • Actually no. I have a 2008 Silverado with the 5.3 v-8 in it.. I had the muffler cut out& a dual exhaust stack kit from Grand Rock's installed.. I have 6 inch wide "aussie" stacks with baffler's inside to quiet it down. My exhaust transitions from a 3 to a 4 to a 5 to a 6 inch stack& she runs better than ever.. K&N Cold intake.. Seems like she pulls trailers better& gets up to speed better, even on hills. Yes, it has a deep chant to the exhaust. Check out my 3 vids& let me know what ya think!

  • you got some bigs stacks..i'll give you that haha. Can't say I've ever seen a gas burner with stacks though. Good looking truck

  • Ha Ha, thanks... Yeah, the skinnier you go on a gas truck, the higher pitched the exhaust sound. The wider it is, the deeper the exhaust chant.. I did some serious research before I endeavoured into this. Seen too many gas trucks with home made stacks.. Buying the kit from GrandRock's ensured that it was done right, with the right set up, and I hit a double whammy. Look's& sounds good.. I was nervouse right before I turned it over after my friends shop installed the stacks..

  • my buddy used to have a truck that sounded like that. i'm still trying to figure out what the last owner of my truck did to my exhausts to make them loud

  • my dad has the same truck. yours sounds awesome.

  • hey when u made it straight pipes were there resonators that u had to delete as well? or were there two sets of cats on it? thanks

  • no there werent any resonators. there are 2 cats though (1 for each pipe). i didn't take them off though. i just took the mufflers off, and left the cats on

  • thats weird cause on mine its an 05 and there are cats and then something after the cats. i have had the mufflers off of it and it was not nearly as loud as this so it leaves me to believe the newer models had resonators?? i dont know

  • i have no idea..i didnt think they came with resonators on them. this truck had flowmasters on it when i bought it..but it was too quiet for me, so i just cut em off. but i know there were no resonators on mine

  • if im not mistaken im pretty sure the newer ones had 4 cats on them 2 on each side. like the 03 and up

  • nice. i like your truck

  • WHO THE FUCK STEALS A SPARE TIRE..lol never thought i have to watch outon my spare i have'nt even check in a while on mine its prolly gone..lol

i bet you just noticed that while you was shooting the video..lol

    nice truck tho love it

  • Meth addicts

  • lol

  • Who the Fuck steals a Spare tire? wow

  • tight truck man......what rims you got on it??

  • Pacer Daytona's

  • oh ya i guess now that i look at them they are STT's. Thats what i want to put on my 2000 chevy silverado 2500.

  • im tellin ya man, they're the best tires to put on. i cant count how many times ive had compliments about them... and they work great offroad

  • Do you get better mpg with the K&N? How do u like those toyo tires? How long have u had them and wats the wear on them?

  • K&N doesnt help much with MPG but it did a little with HP..and the tires aint Toyo..they're Cooper STT and they've lasted over 2 years with still 1/4 tread left. best life from a mud tire i've ever seen

  • wow......thats all i can say. awesome truck man. gotta love the chevys nothin better

  • (maybe a dodge) ahaha

    really..nice truck!!

  • how does the k&n work on this bad boy?

  • it works a little bit..if i could go back, i wouldn't have bought it. it does sound good when you put it to the floor though. its like a whistlin sound. not enough HP gain to tell though

  • that truck is awsome. looks sweet and sounds better

  • thanks man

  • what kind of mpgs do you get

  • around 10 but can get as low as 7 in big cities with lots of traffic lights

  • It sounds liek a dumb question to some, but what do you guys mean by straight pipe?

  • pretty much it means that there's no join in the pipe and no mufflers

  • nice truck i have an 05' chevy silverado 2500HD and im thinking of straight pipen or getting some flowmasters

  • sick truck man

  • i got a question for anyone who can answer. k ik that straight pipes are bad for the top end but does it help if u put cats on it or does it just make the problem smaller?

  • it helps most if you put a muffler on. straights without cats sound like shit anyways

  • BAD ASS truck...love the tires and rims too

  • thanks

  • dude wut mufflers did u put on? an did u use dual or single mufflers

  • there aint any mufflers. 2 pipes coming from the engine with 1 cat on each pipe.

  • Don't the straight pipes kill the low end power since there's no back pressure?

  • ya and your eventually wrecking you top end but who gives a shit, it sounds awesome

  • hell yea go bama!!!!!!!!

  • if you dont mind i have an 04 2500hd and was just wonderin what u have for a lift and tires and wheel sizes because im lost in the dark and have no idea what to get and just lookin for a general starting point by the way sounds bad asss

  • In this video, there is no lift. The torsion bars are raised though. Those tires are 285/75/16. I recently put a torsion key on which raised the front 2.5" and am going to put 305 size tires.

  • Nice truck, awesome sound

  • fucking naughty pipes man.. nice job

  • for some reason you can't hear mine as much at idol...i wonder why?

  • I've heard that programmers, such as the superchips he has, can change exhaust note. Can't say I have first hand experience with this but I have read that.

  • i took the programmer off cause i sold it, and it hasn't changed the sound. it's not on in my newest video

  • legal?

  • no..in alabama you have to contain a muffler. the truck doesn't have one

  • i bet when vortec kicks in it sounds fucking mean as hell not that it doesnt sound mean as fuck at idle

  • ha..stand behind it then you can change your mind

  • are u shittin me? thats how true daul straights are supposed to sound! good as hell!

  • thats what Im talking about! do you have cats?

  • yeah i still got cats, but no muffler. if i didnt, it would pop way too much and sound awful. believe me, been there done that

  • Where yall get them fender flares from?

  • they came with the truck..most of the time, you can get it from dealer, or probly cheaper at truck accessory website

  • Ah, I got a 88 Chevy 2500 and wanted to throw some fender flares on em but i can't find any in stores and want to avoid a dealer so might just wind up buying em off an accessory site.

  • she'll talk to ya!

  • BAD ASS!! great looking HD too!

  • OMG that is so loud... and in my opinion you have the last decent looking body style in the 2002 but that is one nice ride you have there
