  • wow only 1 a weekk u have to do it once a day

  • @Pownage24 yea! i bet she dosnt even have all her adult teeth yet.. she looks only 10

  • heres a tip dont put a coller on them they can hang them selves to esily

  • @jarod99211 Only if they aren't supervised....

  • @jarod99211 I think a collar is fine. My ferret has had his on for almost 3 years now (only taken off for baths) and he is just fine. They look cute in collars and my deaf ferret needs one with a bell so I don't lose him! Plus that way if they ever get lost, I know they are wearing some sort of identification and if anyone found them they know it is a pet not just a wild animal. It is a possibility they can get hurt, but so can dogs or cats who wear collars!

  • @jarod99211 *easily, and no shit

  • If anyone read my comment below my little brother got on...

  • What a cute ferrets and its nice that a 10 year old tells it. Keeping it simple and clear! :D

    Well done :)

  • just a tip, you should have had her wear a clip on mike so you could hear her better.

  • is it true that ferrets make good pets are you supposed to set aside 500 dollars for suregery, apparently they are really health prone, I live in an apt so I am thinking of getting one, I can't have a dog or a cat, but am allowed soemthing small, give me some info,I would surely appreciate it

  • That honestly depends on where you're living. In canada at least to be a licensed breeder they need to already be fixed, de-scented and have all of their first shots. The ferrets go around 250 but you should set aside a bit of money for the shots it requires after in about a week or two but this won't be 500 dollars.

  • I think there are more health problems in the US and Canada than here in the UK... here they're not neutered or spayed until sexual maturity but a lot of breeders in the States sell neutered kits which increases the chance of cancer, adrenal disease etc...

  • great video!

    :) XD

im getting a ferret for christmas!

  • The only probelm with ferrets it that they are stanky

  • dude you can`t even spell stinky...?

  • It's not supposed to be stinky. Stanky is just a street word basically

  • okay why did u make this video?

  • magesta i did'nt know you had 3ferrets

  • Cute girl but unfortunately you really didn't cover what it takes to care for a ferret. Ferrets need SEVERAL hours out of their cage playtime every day. Ferrets are prone to LOTS of diseases - cardiomyopathy, adrenal disease, insulinoma, lymphoma - and with ferret vets few and far in between can be very expensive to care for. Ferrets are not a good pet for small children and ferret shelters constantly have ferrets dumped there from families where the child wanted the ferret but quickly

  • tire of how much work they are to care for. Often ferrets are dumped at shelters nearly starved to death or in the advanced stage of a disease because the child has ignored it for a period of time and the parents never checked it. Please do NOT get your child a ferret unless YOU intend to be the primary care giver for it.

(Serve on the board of a ferret shelter, run an online ferret forum and my website's been featured in and I've been interviewed by Ferrets Magazine a few times)

  • true multiple hours is neccessary even though they sleep 18 hours, but I can't supervise them that long with school and work, i'd love to have them out all the time but they get into everything, they learn how to open or climb everything, I fear they will get into trouble despite ferret proofing, any advice? I have a huge cage for them they play in when not out. And bathing is debatable, most soaps including ferret soaps have an ingredient in them that strips the oils,I found one made without it

  • Saw your website and I grinned when I saw the book on the page "ferrets for Dummies" Awesome book, Ive done alot of reading on ferrets and found that on the best. Just wish their were more ideas for toys! Anyways ",do not bathe him more than once a month.I suggest bathing only a few times a year." Kim Schilling. The stuff I use doesn't clean great but leaves the oils in their fur and I've had no problems with smell or skin irritation with it. They love getting dry dirty agian though when done!

  • My parents got me ferrets, actually four. I take care of them every day and play with them for about 2 hours a day. I love them and would never dump them at a shelter, I think I am an exception.

  • is ferrets hard to take care of?

  • Depends on what you define as hard, to keep the smell down gotta do the litter box twice a day, exercise them for an hour( SUPERVISED!) Wash their laundry(Bedding) 1 week as well as whole cage, and I'd suggest 1 bath per month with appropiate soap. They cost alot though, their food and new toys cause they get bored quick, they are considered an exotic pet so vet cost is more. They need shots like a cat or dog does. They get into EVERYTHING so you really gotta watch them, they are Alot of fun!

  • Wow - BAD advice you're giving!!!!

Ferrets need at LEAST three to four hours out of their cage EVERY SINGLE DAY - not one hour.

Ferrets should only be bathed once or twice a YEAR not once a month. Bathing them excessively will make them produce more oils and smell MORE and also dries out their skin.

  • good video, but can't hear most of the comments made by the young girl.

  • u had 3 ferrets! but so cute!

  • dont they lick ler butt?

  • Yes. Yes they do. Sadly.

  • I want one SO BAD!

  • i only have 2 dogs and parents say no you dont do anything around the house... although i do basically clean the whole house...

    o.o

  • mine doesnt stink

  • nice vid!

  • I want 2 really badly! I've read all the books and all the websites! And my mom thinks we have too many pets already! Compared to yours we dont have any! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats currently. Any tips?

  • OMG!O_O Same!:O My mum says I have too many pets, but I've done SO MUCH research on them and I "MIGHT" be able to get them "EVENTUALLY"!

I also wanted two! Because one would get lonely!

    P.S. I have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs! :)

  • Do tons of research, I now have 2 ferrets, Simone and Lola. It has all payed off. :)

  • Exactly the same with me,

i really want two ferrets. But i have two dogs, two hamsters, twenty one mice because they all bred :L and three rabbits which we are breeding the two females with the male :P

But thats at home with my dad. I would be allowed one with my dad but he says it would kill the bunnies, but at my mums she ses they would stink! :@ so i cant win either way, can anyone with adults lol.

  • just keep asking they till the get angry wait 2 days then again whit me it works

  • Nice ferrets, i have one of 1 year and 6 months, go watch my vids

  • Good info!!!I do the same for my ferrets :)

  • my sis has 2 ferrets...annoying little bags of teeth...funny when they go hyper though.
