When you think about it, this plot, though contrived solely to avoid Sheen making any more appearances (he'd have had to be paid for playing the body) make it possible for them to eventually reveal Rose kidnapped Charlie & faked his death with an actual balloon full of meat @ a subway station, then made up the cheating story to scare people away from investigating her. Sheen & Lorre would have to resolve differences, but I'd like it: S9's OK but Rose as Charlie's killer sits very ill with me.

I'm not as disappointed in the new 2 & a Half Men as I thought I'd be. When I first heard that they were killing Charlie off I was really disappointed in Chuck Lorre for being so petty. Especially in a sitcom where it would have been so much more suitable and tasteful to keep him in Paris with Rose. I also didn't buy Rose's character killing Charlie after 8+ years of being infatuated with him. Doesn't work as a story. However, I don't mind Ashton's new take on the show, it's a refreshing change.
