The original Swiss version featured this bizzare (but funny) Italian song from the 80s called "Woodpeckers from Space." When they prepared it for international airings in the early-to-mid 1990s they redubbed David Hasslehoff's theme onto it. Many Pingu episodes got redubbed for international airings for some strange reason.
