No other film has ever made me question myself more - Jesse as the hero and Ford as the villain... yet James was a ruthless killer and Ford rid the world of him. But it's the way the film gives a glimpse into the minds of the two that makes it so complex... they're not 2-D like most Western characters. They're practically 4-D!
