This thing is HORRIBLE. It has to buffer the CD while mixing, which causes the music to pause and makes the room silent. It's only good if you don't plan on mixing at all.
There ok but with no real scratch time not the best. if you buy the 6000 version or a tweakilizer could get you buy but better options if you already got a mixer. I use this as my mixer hooked up with a Numark cdm-88. wish i could get some pioneers thou.
hii,, i have a cdm-3600 i wanna somthing mush beteer what you can sayed to me to buy? (sorry my english) i wanna somthing can works full with softwear
I'm a dubstep producer and want to dj my stuff live instead of composing tracks from my pc using samples i would rather mix my songs, i could do this with my laptop but it would be easier and look a bit more ineresting
I bought this almost as soon as it came out and it was a piece o' shit.
There is no fader switch for the Cue/PGM just a flip switch which means you can only listen to one channel at a time in the headphones and to make matters worse the music playing in the headphones and live from the mixer wasn't in sync. The pitch controls jump from 0 to -/+ 7 instead of going to 0.1 etc. The master volume didn't work and you couldn't instantly cue, there was time needed to seek the track
not 100% sure if it playes mp3 cause i hadnt got it dat long before it i started having problems with it! i tink da cdm3610 0r the cdm6000 does but i wudnt buy the 3600,i sold mine but as i said before its not very relaible as far as im concerned.
you cant scratch on da cdm3600,to be honest its really only for starting off your dj-ing but with what i experienced with it i wud not go back to it. no dis-repect to gemini but i paid alot of money for it and wasnt worth it. get pioneer or denon cause their good quality and reliable,
This was my first dj equipment ever. And now that i look at it, its complete bullshit. The seamless looping is ok but it still cant exit out of the loop correctly, it cannot scratch or do any effects, and the only pro to this is the cue selecting, and the mixer on it.
i have the cdm3600 and it has given me some problems while dj-ing in my local disco bar! at times it doesnt read the disc and the fader start delay sometimes doesnt always work right??? maybe i got a damaged model but i switched to pioneer.
In the video it does say you can add an external source, like a turntable or another cd-player. Could you use an Ipod as an external sourse if you had the appropriate jacks to connect it?
I'm guessing most of the guys watching this video are complete begginers on Djing, my advice to you: "Save some more money, buy sinlge cd or mp3 players and a separate 2 channel mixer" (I started djing with the cdm 3600 and it's really basic... and i mean BASIC in the wrong way)
Guys, im planning to buy this for christmas, what are your personal experiencies and i have been mixing on parties with my laptop and virtual dj but i would like to experience with cd players do you really recomend it ? merry christmas from mexico ;)
Hey i just got this yesterday night (This is my first dj system ever) and i want to know how i can get the left track playing, and the right track playing also? Cuz i can only switch it to channel 1 or 2. I want both to play at the same time.. I am using headphones also, that might be the case. BUT PLEASE REPLY AND HELP
Put the fader half way to the other side one side will be louder than the other i guess but thats all i can think of on how you can listen to both at the same time, why would you want too tho?
Good dj's combine tracks together, it's fundamental! Just ordered myself one as I'm craving decks. Started on CDJ 600's so this is gonna be a big step down but just need something to practise before gigs on a CDJ 1000!
I recently came in the mail. I've been using it for about a week now and it's amazing (in fact, I just stopped playing about 10 minutes ago.) It's really simple piece of equipment, but it gets the job done wonderfully! ^^
........the pitch adjustment on this peice goesin intervals of .1% instead of the standard .05% (or .005%, cant recall), and it sometimes even jumps by .2%, which is very very annoying, and makes it hard to keep them running together nicely and pretty much impossible to keep it together without constant nursing (more then there should be)

i own this peice right here and id say its good if youre on a tight budget and want to learn to mix. it grasps the concept well enough.
the jog wheel isnt sensitive enough, and its hard to match the tracks a lot of the time, either speeds up too quick or not enough, just an overall etchy feeling to the jog wheel..... (continued above)
Oh man this guy is an angel for everyone that wants to start djing, like me.I actually seen this piece of gear in a dj store, and is pretty much the must have if you want to start djing,im gonna get it myself.Sounds absolutely great by the way,it really does.
at the end when he says about changing sides for the headphones , Can you switch to say the right hand side and hear the track through the HEADPHONES but it doesnt come through the PA so you can mix it with the song in the PA at that moment ?
eyy i got one question, i just bought a box of 25 cd-rw cds, for my cdm3600, and when i put it in, all i hear its noise.. likkee CAHHHH SASHHHH etc. why is this?? and yes they have music on them, but when i put a regular cd-r it works perfect?? and it works with original cds,
you cant listen to both at the same time only with headphones, you can only listen to 1 at a time, to listen to both u need to buy an amp or some speakers
its just a regular plain amp, srry for nt asnwering early i was busy, but ya, just any amp would work, also, u can choose between an amp or some speakers, which wouldnt really make a diff i think since the cheapest amp n spkear u can get are gonna be $100.
i got a gemini 3600 for last christmas. it worked fine for about a month, then the right deck started playing up. the music would play for a couple of seconds and then go scrackly. the left deck then followed. i sent it back and after about 5 weeks i recieved a new one. and the left deck is haveing the exact same problem. i dont understand, am i just rediculously unlucky or am i doing something wrong. i would realy appreciate some advise,
is there a console similar to this one that i can hook up to a computer to use the music off of there? i really do not want to buy one of the digital dj things. i want a cdj. but i want to be able to learn though the computer and then get off of it. any body have any suggestions?
everybody this is important!!! the master volume doesnt do anything except adjust the EQ lights and when the lights flash i can hear them in my headphones. Is this normal. Also one the right RCA connector doesnt seem to be working?!!? help please
ok kool just tell me then ill buy it for sure if it works :D thankxx and listen to some of my mixes im from the caribbean so if ur not used to that kinda music then it koo but still rate and comment pls thankx
k no prob, my mom took away my setup (im a kid) cuz i got in trouble but ill let you know. awesome i love reggae, i got these turntables so i could be a reggae selecta so ill totally check out your mixes
Question: it seems the master volume doesn't make it louder or quieter, all it does is make the EQ lights go on and when the lights go on i can hear them in my headphones. anyone else have this problem??
im thinking of buying one of these i wanna know if u can connect it to a laptop with virtual dj on it so i can scratch plss reply i need to kno thanks! XD
Hi Folks. Everyone know that this player has delay when playing. You can overcome this with a workaroung. When you find the beginning of the first beat to mix (say elapsed time at 0:2:23) move the position further by 18 sectors futher (for audio cds 1 sec = 74 sectors) and queue the song there (at 0:2:41). Now you will not feel any delays when starting mix. Enjoy ...
i currently own one o these and i was thinking on expanding on these...is it possible for me to get a couple splitters and add a turntable on each side and also a laptop??????
Will it play CD-R's?
