When the health insurance reform bill become law...
1) it's going to be put in place over a period of 3 year, NOT overnight.
2) illegal imigarnts will not get care without insurence & to get insurence they'll have to show ID (be a US citizen).
3) insurance companys will no longer be allowed to get between you and your doctor (denying coverge because of a pre-existing condition or catastrophic condition will be a thing of the past)
Simply put, government run things are typically failures. Everything Obama has been doing lately is shifting control of everything involved in the bills to the government. The same people that currently control the complete waste of all your tax dollars will now be controlling how you get health care, too. Sounds like a fantastic idea....
I agree that we need to change health care to make it cheaper than it is now. However, I believe that we should not rush this reform. I want to make sure that we create the right reform for america, and in order to ensure this, we need to slow down, and think this plan through thoroughly. If we can do this, we can have the best affordable healthcare in the world.

Progressive does suck, I dropped them two years ago because my actual rate turned out to be twice as much as the initial quote... and I had a perfect driving record.
When I called to cancel they made up a bunch of lies and excuses why my premiums were twice the quoted price.
I told them I would never use their insurance again and I would never have anything good to say about their company the manager I spoke was like, "oh, well."
I can't believe Progressive has such bad customer relations.
They recently went around to the different X-ray departments in the state of Texas - and the VA dept in Houston got the highest rating of any X-ray facility in the state.
"Any facility can make a mistakes"... tell that to hundreds of veterans with bone cancer.
Some VA hospitals are rated very high while others are substandard. This is the inconsistency we can expect from any gov. run system. Which is why I am glad I rely on the gov. for very little.

Congress and the Administration have been working on the present proposals since February. The national health insurance exchange where private insurers will be forced to compete with each other is a great way to being to bring down costs. The public option will also help keep the insurers honest. This is great leadership - we can't allow the republicans to sabotage this effort with delays.

People are getting a clearer picture of who he really is and what his ideological pursuits are. When Obama proclaim you have a right to health care, He means other things. 1st they want unlimited power to force others to provide U with health care. They also mean that U have no right to manage & provide for your health care, but that which is provided & approved by the government. The Fed Govt. decides what treatments U can & cannot have. They demand your doctor provide the Gov all personal details of your health care ! Whatever this is, its not protecting your rights.

Obama has done more in his first 8 months as President than GW Bush did in his entire 8 years. Barack is really working hard for US. He's doing a great job. Unfortunately, he won't be able to pass all of the health care reforms that we need (the insurance and pharmacy companies will see to that), but he will make a difference and change the way health care is delivered in America. Secondly, Obama initiated the debate and set the parameters for reform and congress produced several bills that are being debated now.

All we had to do was a 33 billion dollar stimulus package. 14.2 on infrastructure. 12.9 on unemployment. 5.9 on green innovation plus still maintain a surplus and 1 - 2 % GDP growth a year. Wow! you are ignorant. federal income taxes don't pay for infrastructure state taxes do that. The federal income tax was implemented in 1913 by the progressives to redistribute wealth to the poor. It ended up making middle class pay the burden. The federal income tax gave the federal government too much power and they have been growing since. Now the federal income tax only pays down the deficit and entitlements which promotes tyranny.

Until you come up with a statement where Obama actually says something even close to "I want to put the insurance companies out of business", I'm going to go with the fact that he wants the public option to provide some competition for those insurance companies while providing coverage for more Americans who currently have none. No one will be forced to go onto the public plan. The conspiracy theories and weird paranoia from some people on this issue would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

But they had a good idea, or got proper education to move up and prosper. They built a business that hired us to help their business grow and prosper in turn give us raises, bonuses, and health insurance. I am a Canadian citizen who does not enjoy the high costs of socialized medicine. Everything in my country costs a lot more and I have been waiting a month for a tetanus shot, because the clinic in my town is out of the vaccine.
I have been waiting a year to get a personal physician because all of the good doctors have moved to America where they can make decent money.
15% more Canadians die of cancer because our insurance will not cover the procedures or we die waiting.

When the health insurance reform bill become law...
1) it's going to be put in place over a period of 3 year, NOT overnight.
2) illegal imigarnts will not get care without insurence & to get insurence they'll have to show ID (be a US citizen).
3) insurance companys will no longer be allowed to get between you and your doctor (denying coverge because of a pre-existing condition or catastrophic condition will be a thing of the past)

I want to make sure that we create the right reform for america, and in order to ensure this, we need to slow down, and think this plan through thoroughly. The hidden taxes that raise the cost of living in Canada considerably. I remember a woman telling me about $500 electric bills... in the summer.
Paying much more for gas and food. Why would one of the largest oil producing countries have more expensive gas? Because there are so many taxes added in.
Socialist are snake oil salesmen only talking about benefits... not the liabilities.

I lived in california and my power bill was 600-800 after the government started to regulate power. before then is was 200-300. My mom's power bill went up to 500-600. This is after there stupid environmental cap and trade bills Arnold was keen on. Now people can't afford anything and jobs are leaving the state in droves. See what cap and trade will do for you?

That is insane. In Florida my electric bill in the summer was around $90-120, with the A/C running all the time. Around $50-70 in the winter.
Progressives talk about how great it is to get things for 'free' because they don't realize the hidden costs.
All of those taxes you pay and state workers are only working 4 days a week and the state is writing IOU's.

People pay up to their nose for Insurance Policies that refuse to pay -- whats the point of buying it? There is nothing funny about death and an insurance company such as Progressive that REFUSES to honor their policy. Progressive does suck, I dropped them two years ago because my actual rate turned out to be twice as much as the initial quote... and I had a perfect driving record.
When I called to cancel they made up a bunch of lies and excuses why my premiums were twice the quoted price.
I told them I would never use their insurance again and I would never have anything good to say about their company the manager I spoke was like, "oh, well."
I can't believe Progressive has such bad customer relations.

Some VA hospitals are rated very high while others are substandard. This is the inconsistency we can expect from any gov. run system. Which is why I am glad I rely on the gov. for very little.
Maybe they should fix Medicare and Medicaid before trying another failed system.

Congress and the Administration have been working on the present proposals since February. The national health insurance exchange where private insurers will be forced to compete with each other is a great way to being to bring down costs. The public option will also help keep the insurers honest. This is great leadership - we can't allow the republicans to sabotage this effort with delays.

California has the Governator, but it is not a Republican State. In fact it is the most Progressive state in the country.

1. Abolish the Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) system;
2. Revive the principles and implementation of the 1946 Hill-Burton Act;
3. Implement the Single-Payer plan (Medicare for all) as the key means of financing adequate health care for all, and pay hospitals, doctors and all other care providers at proper full rates.

The opposition to this bill doesn't come from people being swayed by the GOP. It comes from people realizing that Obama is untrustworthy. People are getting a clearer picture of who he really is and what his ideological pursuits are. This past week we learned he is a bigoted, racist with a skewed perception of reality, and people don't want this mentality dictating the direction of the most intrusive legislation this country will pass. We need a more balanced bill, free of hidden agendas.

I notice the subtle plea here.
President Obama faces very strong opposition.
And without the american people behind this 100%, it will be a major blow in an early time of his presidency.
However he does mention deficits, which is a major problem with his proposed health care reform.
I think in the short-term, the best solution is a government guided reform requiring no taxpayer money.
To put it simply, let healthcare return to service of goods and exchange.
Then prices will lower.

The inarguable truth of this matter is their is no need for the speed with which democrats are trying to pull it off... I don't like the idea of it being completely orchestrated by a single party; it leaves way too much of a chance for manipulation and the pursuit of hidden agendas. Seems like Americas Health Care System becomes a little more restrictive - in good way. In Comparison to other Systems, the US one is very liberal, which is a good thing when you take a look at the variety and quality of health services, but the ones who suffer, are the economic weaker persons.
