that is stupid. of course he has to ask relevant questions and make the interview interesting...but then if that person does something idiotic (ala Vince Young acting 12 yrs old, Manny Ramirez trying to get pregnant) then he has the responsibility to talk about it...and make it funny preferably. These are not his friends, they are athletes and he is a sports talk radio host.

I think whoever said he was talking smack, was not meaning he was making fun of this video. He had JP on as a guest and talked about it....in fact JP is the guest tommorow so I think it is a misunderstanding regarding the use of the word "smack".
