  • @desoto1961 Thanks!! Love your channel :)

  • now that's vintage, eventually when my new generic player stops working, i'll buy a vintage turntable for sure.

  • @stewie100 Thanks for the comment!! It is pretty unique with that funky trapezoid shape :)

  • Benny Hill!!...... Cool phonograph..

  • That's one good looking record player. I wish I had one as unique! :D I also wish I had a way with electronics to be able to fix them up the way you do. Nice job!

  • @indigoranch Thanks for the comment! This little thing sure is a gem, but it really didn't need that much work to be done. Just a new needle, and that's just about it!

  • The wondrous things that can be done with a box and a little imagination.

Even the music matched the upholstery!

    ...Amazing!!!

  • Thanks for the comment!!

  • Beautiful design! But shame on you for playing that 45 with the 78 needle! *slaps your wrist*

  • Gotcha there! It IS a 33/45 Microgroove needle, installed on the 78 side of the cartridge....!

  • That's a relief! :D

  • Cool record player. I heard a moog synthesizer version of that song years ago and wondered who did the original.

  • Thanks for the comment!! Hope you enjoy my videos :)

  • Ha ha ha! What a goofy song.

  • Wow! An original copy of "Mah-Na Mah-Na" by The Sweden Heaven & Hell Soundtrack. That is a difficult record to come by.

  • Yes it is! Everybody keeps emailing me saying they think it's sung by the Muppets!

  • It was the very first song ever done on The Muppet Show in 1975 when it debuted so most people associate it with them but this is the original here. I forgot to comment on what a cool portable record player that is. I like the way the speaker folds up and you kind of have to slide the record in to play it. Nice fine there. I have a portable GE Wildcat from 1970 that I use sometimes

  • I heard this original version many years ago, and I can't beleive I found it at a yard sale in such great condition. I only paid a buck for the 45!

Yes, the Arvin is very cool in design. Arvin was definately ahead of the times in their designs of late 50's early 60's phonographs and radios.

  • I heard that it's a porn movie. Is that true?

  • Yes. The best track happens to be entitled "Topless Party"!

  • wow, its dusty!-love the song!

  • wow weird song! who's it by?

  • Hey that is one awesome record player! the style of it is just so bizzarre and unique. I love it! and the song does suit it perfectly!

  • hey thanx for the vid, but i already saw it. i got more toys to put up once my laptop is fixed.

  • Thanks, I purposely picked it to play for this vid

  • That's swell. Awesome player. Show us an LP on it.

  • Certainly very different and unusual. Thanks for sharing.

  • dude......SO cool. Super jealous! I must have one! Thanks for sharing it, going to put it in my ebay favs right now!!

  • Thanks for the comment Falcons! Would you beleive Arvin made a STEREO version of this phonograph? I had one when I was a kid. It was two tone white and grey with one speaker on top and the other separated from the case with a wire. When packed up, it took the shape of a trapezoid! 'Till this day, I have yet come across that model...
