If a new mmo will ever kill WoW, I can almost garantee it'll be an indie game by a small developer. It won't match up in production quality, but it'll have some very interesting and unique design choices (indie devvers cant use expensive assets for their games, so instead they make something very unique, look at minecraft).

Plus, Rift is too like WoW, people who already have a good character aren't going to want to just ditch that to start on a game that isn't significantly better.

@Vaizone3000 they made it to where you still get cursed items, but now you can get the holy charms and scrolls of purification in the AH, so you don't need to spend gPotatoes anymore. when i found out they fixed it, i redownloaded it too.

i actually just started playing this game last night and it is a beautiful game and good game play so far. for i think this and rune of magic set a standard for really good f2p gaming.

WoW although is not a bad game, cares more for numbers of subs over quality of game, and quality over quanity is lost on most of its playerbase. Before the last Allods patch, I would say Allods due to quality detailed designs. But after developers screwed it up so bad that now it is impossible to do quest unless you buy Cash Shop, I would say Runes of Magic still have the edge. ;)
I think Allods is very inovating in the term of the ambient of the game ,because of the effects and the actions that happens arround you , thats not very common in this kind of game.
This game is amazing looking for being a free to play MMO....I hope they took all the good things from WoW because graphically I like the style and art of this game without putting huge strains on my 6 year old computer.
That's where WoW succeeded beyond being accessible to the average gamer. I am currently playign Runes of Magic which I enjoy, but this looks more in line with what I am looking for

@rethxoth In theory, yes. But when it actually comes down to it, it's not quite that simple. WoW has years of experience whereas Rift is young, it's the small things that make the difference such as the LFG tool.
Plus, Rift is too like WoW, people who already have a good character aren't going to want to just ditch that to start on a game that isn't significantly better.
You may like Rift, but your opinion doesn't change the facts.

@Vaizone3000 they made it to where you still get cursed items, but now you can get the holy charms and scrolls of purification in the AH, so you don't need to spend gPotatoes anymore. when i found out they fixed it, i redownloaded it too.

WoW although is not a bad game, cares more for numbers of subs over quality of game, and quality over quanity is lost on most of its playerbase. I always call wow the britney spears of the gaming world, yea she is/was popular due to marketing, but talent was defenelty lacking. and wow def markets itself by using mr T, ozzy etc to draw in as many ppl as possible.

Before the last Allods patch, I would say Allods due to quality detailed designs. But after developers screwed it up so bad that now it is impossible to do quest unless you buy Cash Shop, I would say Runes of Magic still have the edge. ;)

This game is amazing looking for being a free to play MMO....I hope they took all the good things from WoW because graphically I like the style and art of this game without putting huge strains on my 6 year old computer.
That's where WoW succeeded beyond being accessible to the average gamer. I am currently playign Runes of Magic which I enjoy, but this looks more in line with what I am looking for

the textures does go higher than wow. All the classes looks equally nice.
The gameplay shines when you start your character doing quests.
Sharpening texture feature really makes this game shines.
Its an mmo, but its not a clone wow. GO play it
