its pretty craazy how pavel datysyuk and pavel bure are somewhat the same player with the same name for the most' if both of them played on the same team shiit woulda got done.
@gd6noob dude i love bure, but no1 will ever touch his records.. even when he was at his best he got 60 goals.. gretzky had 92 in his best season. its not even bure's fault, he was better in my mind, but it was a different game by the 90's, goalies better def better etc
i don't think anyone will argue against Bure being a better goalscorer. But they were different types of players. Gretzky is the "Great One" for a reason... but Bure's hockey skills (speed, shot, stickhandling) unparalleled in my mind.
i remember when i was around the age of 3 and the first thing i did was get a bure shirt when i started playin hockey ive loved this guy since his first game and when all the hype started i followed everythin he did its too bad there arnt more players around with his ability and speed!
the fact that so few players even come close to his skill is testament to how special he was. He came into the league when i was 3 or 4 as well and adored him... sculpted my hockey style after him (well, my offensive side :P)
One of the all-time greats and a travesty that he is not in the hall of fame.
Bure wasn't even on the panthers in the 95-96 finals dummies! He was with the canucks...he got traded to florida in 1999. Bure didn't pass as much as players like Forsberg, or Fedorov, because he didn't need to. He passed when he couldn't do anything. Thats how russian wingers of 1960-1991 (before fall of USSR) were trained to do. Learn some hockey history, and then lay down some facs. Anyway, what is the song playing during the vid?
yeah actually, this dude would have done a lot better in the NHL if he passed the damn puck sometimes. He has screwed up soo many goals by tryin to be a one man team.
well he did that in florida and they made the stanley cup finals to cause of him but if he pass the puck and be a playmaker then that team would win the cup.
I dont think so, even if he did pass the puck in the 95-96 finals, they still wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of skill that the avs had. There is no way that he would be able to make that kind of impact on the series. The Avalanche swept them.
emerging from soviet russia, this kid with his initial innocence and passion for the game. career was secondary, his youth, talent and pure desire to win what made it so amazing.
Some great, great clips. Such a shame his career had to end so early. Has there ever been a better player? (well maybe Gretsky) Ovechkin could be as good. We'll have to see how he does over the long haul.
Pavel was the best player, thats my oppinion, nobody can score like him... RUSSIAN ROCKET!! what a player, you knew he was gonna do someting special every game.
There are some faggy homos out there saying that Naslund was better than Bure, I don't no what to say to that except STFU !
