i don't think anyone will argue against Bure being a better goalscorer. But they were different types of players. Gretzky is the "Great One" for a reason... but Bure's hockey skills (speed, shot, stickhandling) unparalleled in my mind.

i remember when i was around the age of 3 and the first thing i did was get a bure shirt when i started playin hockey ive loved this guy since his first game and when all the hype started i followed everythin he did its too bad there arnt more players around with his ability and speed!

the fact that so few players even come close to his skill is testament to how special he was. He came into the league when i was 3 or 4 as well and adored him... sculpted my hockey style after him (well, my offensive side :P)

Bure wasn't even on the panthers in the 95-96 finals dummies! He was with the canucks...he got traded to florida in 1999. Bure didn't pass as much as players like Forsberg, or Fedorov, because he didn't need to. He passed when he couldn't do anything. Thats how russian wingers of 1960-1991 (before fall of USSR) were trained to do. Learn some hockey history, and then lay down some facs. Anyway, what is the song playing during the vid?

I dont think so, even if he did pass the puck in the 95-96 finals, they still wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of skill that the avs had. There is no way that he would be able to make that kind of impact on the series. The Avalanche swept them.
