How gives the Fed or the govt the right to print paper (or worse, generate computer impulse money)? Thisis a huge flat tax on everyone who has savings; their savings are diminished in value. Yet who voted for this tax? It is taxation wid out representation.
In order to make loans to banks at 0 percent interest, isn't the fed just making fiat money to hand to banks; 4 who wud lend at 0 percent?
@wangobangodango There are taxes that provide services and then there is the income tax which is a repayment of a loan to use money provided by the Federal Reserve....Understand how you are getting screwed before its too late. The Federal Reserve is within a 2 year period of bankrupting this country and owning just about all property that is backed by any debt.

You probably don't remember when the Reform Party had a credible candidate, Ross Perot, who almost upset the two party system in 1992. Then Nader came in an screwed it up. President Obama said "completely unaware" of the tea party protests. How is president could be "unaware" of a grass roots protest movement of this size and scope? Doesn't he have a TV?
ive been protesting all year long (at least since mid 08) through the extra with-holdings .. i owe over $1000 apparently and they want to tack on an additional fine for not having with-held enuf through out the year ! !!!
This isn't a game people. Do people understand that this is not a social party, not fun picnics and games? The people in power don't care about protests, signs and such. They will kill people if they feel like it.

Obama added trillions in debt and bailed out the banksters - AIG for instance - who turned around and sent most of their bailout money to their foreign offices. The cash for clunkers program helped toyota a bunch - GM not so much - no GM car in the top ten cars purchased in this program. You probably don't remember when the Reform Party had a credible candidate, Ross Perot, who almost upset the two party system in 1992. Then Nader came in an screwed it up. I'm not sure how the Reform Party went from moderate to ultra-liberal, but it was a serious blunder if anyone in the Reform Party wanted to remain a credible 3rd party. I could possibly vote for Ron Paul, but he stuck out likt a sore thumb in the 2008 election in Republican primaries. Ron Paul for Reform Party candidate!

The first (modern-day) Tea Party was actually 12/16/07 (when Bush was in office), where we raised 6 mil for Ron Paul.
There is a large subset of the "Tea Party" movement that has consistently protested the overspending of BOTH administrations - check out Judge Napolitano, Ron Paul, Peter Schiff, etc.

lol...lots of people don't want all the "social programs" you guys have. Much (heck, most) of what the government does (very inefficiently) can and should be handled by private businesses.
It's the ridiculous excess, the gross, and totally unnecessary bloating of the government that everyone's protesting- because ultimately it just limits every individual's liberty.
Personally, I'm for term limits in congress! That will bring us one major step closer to true representation. :)

How to START the TAX REVOLT:
Ron Paul and freedom guarding legislators need to introduce legislation to end payroll tax withholding.
This would wake the people up to the true cost of government.
Even if it doesn't pass, it would get people talking. Both Dems and Repubs shouldn't oppose it. Dems think gov't isn't large enough and people want to pay more taxes. Repubs SAY they want to reduce gov't. This is a good first step to defunding gov't.

Last I heard, roughly 1 million people around the nation attended a Tea Party. Even if that estimate is high and it's only half as many then it's still a pretty damn good turnout but I got the feeling based on the crowds around the nation that the 1 million estimate is accurate. The tea parties have been going on for years and years growing in strength every year.
They have gotten major media attention this year because they are growing so large.
Perhaps in your area the turn out was low but nation wide is was very large with hundreds of videos to prove it.
