this was at lowestoft airshow . the pilots name was . michael mcann . and the reason it went down is because harrier jump jets . run off water when they hover . (to make them hover ) and the pilot kept it going to long . and it ran out of water so the plane went down . the pilot only recieved a broken ankle from this accident !

This video of the Harrier hovering was taken during the pilot's lunchtime. The pilot had finished his egg sandwich, poured himself a coffee, then made the fatal mistake of throwing his empty cheese and onion crisp packet out of the cockpit window whilst he thought no one was looking.The video shows the packet is sucked into the main air intake, blocking off the turbine's combustion air and hence thrust.

He learned the hard way not to litter. He also got a minor burn from spilling his coffee.

@PangeaSpreads the problem is this is something we get every summer at my home town, where this video was shot, it's two days at the beach and we see it every year, so i guess they kinda get used to it and it loses it's attraction a bit over time. however, the shock appearance of an f15E this year certainly caught my attention!
