No, I have not yet read the Quran, or indeed all of the Bible (this will happen one day), yet I am a believer in the principles of freewill and privacy of consciousness, two things that by definition cannot exist when one is a deist or theist. Whilst i accept that religious belief brings comfort and stability to millions of people, it also, through misinterpretation, causes untold misery, pain, suffering and injustice.

The Quran said about priesthood that Christians tooks (priests as gods) so a former Christian protested saying to the P Muhammed that he never worshipped priests - the Prophet said didn't they dictate what was wright and wrong besides god - that is worship. Still there are imp differences in the Quran like: Adam was forgiven, God is described one and unity does not beget nor was begotten and there is nothing like Him.

This status comes from our faculty of reason and our ability to choose between right and wrong. Our human position toward the truth of God is unique: we can search for it, question and compare, then we can decide to follow or not. What is amazing to me our willingness to adopt the truth even when it is inconvenient. U can too!
