  • as much as they did*

  • I'm shocked that they hated the movie North as much as I did. First of all as a child I found this movie hilarious from start to finish and was one of my favourite movies. Even when I watch it (at 16 years old) today I still think it's alright. That review is definitely one of the grossest exaggerations I've ever seen...

  • Blowed Up Real Good. Hilarious

  • Gene: "You couldn't write worse jokes if I told you to write worse jokes."

Roger: "You're forgetting, Gene. I co-wrote 'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.' "

  • Ugh, "Meet the Deedles" was on my television today.....it was HORRIBLE! Thank you Gene for providing us with your public service.

  • Unlike monkey man, i don't beat off to old films and want to debate their merits or lack of them. Ebert is history...well not really as he wouldn't even qualify. His cheap screenplays are already forgotten. Now he tries to get publicity kicking the dead. Of course, I've noticed on eberts bio that he was an alcoholic.

  • "Hottie and the Nottie" is easily the worst film of the decade. I hated it even more than "Battlefield Earth". It currently has a 5% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 7 out of 100 on Metacritic.

  • "she looks like a pornstar after a really long weekend"

    HA!!

  • why do studios give these god awful movies a green light to be made? none of these types of movies make any money

  • "Meet the Deedle's thumbs down isnt just a movie review, its a public service. You have been warned."

    Epic.

  • I saw "On Deadly Ground" in the theater...one of the biggest regrets of my entire life.

  • "Why didn't you tell me that before the movie started?!" LMAO!

  • 8:23 Ok that was a funny joke, I may watch it after all...............2 hours later.....Damn

  • 0:19 How many times can you watch it?

  • Deedles! Deedles!

I agree with them. That was a an awful movie

  • POOTIE TANG!

  • About Pootie Tang from imdb.com trivia:

According to Louis C.K., he and editor Doug Abel were removed from the editing room by the studio and were not allowed to have final cut of the film.

    Roger was right.

  • 2:04 "blowed up real good"

  • that bar fight scene in the seagal movie is the most ridiulous thing ever.

  • The main guy in the Hottie and The Nottie was in Avatar. Wow.

  • @SEVENTEENCINEMA

    A logical step then.

  • I feel sorry for Gene having to watch movies like Meet the Deedles when he's so close to death.

Then again, as Leon of Spill.com once said, if you watch a bunch of terrible movies before you die, death won't seem so bad.

  • sada tay!

  • Great stuff

  • This is the first time that I've heard of Pootie Tang and already the name is driving me nuts.

  • A.O. Scott was more funny here when he was trying. On the show he's become lazy, just like phillips.

  • God damn... how many idiots does it take to get together and make something like Pootie Tang?

  • I forgot how Awful "North" was.

  • "DEEDLES! DEEDLES!"

  • "Giving 'Meet the Deedles' thumbs down is not just a movie review, it's a public service." Best Gene quote ever ;-)

  • lol.

  • "blowed up real good" the way ebert says it it's as if hes talking to a child

  • "Paris Hilton looks like a porn star after a really long weekend"? That's an insult to porn stars!

  • "Stop it Roger!"

    LOL!!!!!! Perfectly delivered...

  • It's too bad S&E couldn't show the clip from On Deadly Ground where Seagal gives his speech about how to "change the essence of a man". It's one of the most hilarious moments ever captured on film.

  • @levanyzzuf I think Al Gore would tell him to shut up. lol

  • check out the "See Spot Run Review" its like 30 seconds long haha

  • check out Bratz

  • The Burning Plain review by scott is way funnier.

  • I love the agonized way that Roeper tries to come up with a point for The Hottie and The Nottie to half-justify its existence. "Maybe the Nottie...can be a Hottie." He just hates his job in that moment. And who wouldn't?

  • I loved pottie tang. though i couldn't understand the referance or the gag in the title itself? "pottie tang"?!

can anybody clear that up for me?

  • "You took kids to see this? This is the kind of movie where after kids see this they should see The Good Son to cheer themselves up."

"That was about a killer wasn't it?"

    "Yes."

  • I love it when Ebert says "if you'd like to see stuff blowed up real good"

  • The opening of this video defines how Siskel and Ebert acted like Abbott and Costello. "Deedles" is something Lou Costello would be happy to chant to Bud Abbott. During that period, I picked up the book "The Abbott and Costello Story" and I made numerous comparisons of Gene Siskel with Bud Abbott and Roger Ebert with Lou Costello.

  • I like to see a speical edition verisons of FWSER&GC reviews of Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler. Who's with me?

  • YES! A new video

  • It's from the arranged soundtrack of Mega Man 9.

  • good soundtrack for the entire series

  • Great video, man.

  • The background music really suits this video!

  • DEEDLES! DEEDLES!

  • Thank you for these, I enjoy them greatly. You might want to check out their review of "The Swan Princess" for #14.

  • Lol Ebert condones incest.

  • Ah the infamous "North" review, this would make a wonderful "Fun Times With Siskel & Ebert" video all by itself.

  • That comment about Ms. Hilton was spot-on.

  • You got on Meet the Deedles. Good work.

    "Deedles...DEEDLES! DEEDLES!"
