  • There is speculation that most Republicans have asked their Corporate Giant campaign funders to kill as many jobs as possible and stop hiring to ensure Obama is a ONE-term President. I considered this crap as 100% BS. But after this crap with Walker and other Republicans that won elections in 2010 their primary object of doing anything they can to get rid of Democrats primary source of campaign funds (Unions) & terminating govt jobs instead of creating them. It looks like I will be eating crow!

  • The way they did this almost brings tears to my eyes. :-(

  • i wonder if those guys knew they'd be recalled ,or at least hated by millions .. can you see it in their faces ?they had to know they were jumping off a cliff

  • this fascist republican usurping of democracy was struck down as unconstitutional. peter barca is a hero to american justice and democracy. thank you judge sumi, and thank you again rep. peter barca, you are a true hero of the people's rights in wisconsin and america.

now let's get these criminal corporate fascists recalled. and let's send a strong message to the criminal right, you don't break our laws and trample on our democracy without retribution! not now, not ever!

  • peter barca was right. down with republican scum.

  • Sounds like the Republican freaks. Right up there ally to line their own pockets with cash while they screw everyone else.

  • @RainbowRandolf - The government shouldn't allow collective bargaining at all; the government already has codified pay rates adjusted for region for ALL employees. There's no reason to have 'collective bargaining.'

Unions are a thing from a bygone and best forgotten era.

  • @causticmessiah They did not allow collective bargaining with the unions of Wisconsin.

  • i wonder what drink he got

  • Does anyone know what the chairman says at 2:42 when he interrupts Sen. Barca? I can't understand him.

  • @wimperial1104 He says "Clerk, call the roll." Which is what you do before you take a vote.

  • @arthurkr222 Thank you!

  • Can you say Michael Grebe, former RNC Chief Counsel, largest MONEYBAG of Bush and Obama and WALKER??? Grebe was Obama's former employer @ the REPUBLICAN law firm of Foley & Lardner and is head nutcase and Lynne & Harry Bradley Foundation. Grebe has been accused in a 12 Trillion Dollar Fed RICO of Election fixing. Fingerprinting away at those committing TREASON through Election Fraud, is that the sound of rope friction I hear? Nooses free @ iviewit.tv Inventor Eliot Ivan Bernstein

  • just saying they were voted in by the majority of people in wisconsin and they knew that an agenda like this would be carried out by these people, so all of you need to stop bitching and deal with it. hey i dont like obama and any of the shit he wants to do but the majority voted for him and i have to deal with him for another two years so i will make my voice heard then but when the majority votes for someone it means they get their way for however long so suck it up.

  • Sue the scum personally. Take money out of their individual pockets and them put them in jail like the criminals they are. They are shameless only tapping their personal wealth will make a difference. They confiscate illegal drug money there is no reason they can't confiscate republic party scum criminals money.

  • "On Wednesday evening, in a veritable Night of the Long Knives, Wisconsin's integrity was brutally murdered on the floor of the state Capitol in Madison. On 9 March, integrity and trust built up over a century was obliterated as Wisconsin state senators quickly reversed course and cleaved its budget "repair bill" in half." From "Scott Walker's Real Agenda in Wisconsin" by Michael Hudson and Jeffrey Sommers

  • @sophiavidal Googled "Scott Walker's Real Agenda in Wisconsin" by Michael Hudson and Jeffrey Sommers. EXCELLENT. If only everyone can get on board. I'm an Independent, have voted for both parties, depending on candidate. I am hoping and praying that all Wisconsinites can bury their hachets, admit that Walker--maybe was well-intentioned--but has calculated his agenda so poorly that we need to revisit this entire process again and come up with something that will be fiscally sound and healing.

  • Well, if the cowards were not in ANOTHER DAMN STATE they could have voted on this bill. SCREW THEM and screw the unioin thugs attempting to strong-arm the process. Seriously, 13% of the workforce trying to dictate policy. 250,000 union members paying $1,100 a year in dues. that's 250 MILLION they're going to lose. That's all the union cares about, the money

  • @DEMSLOSE You must not be from Wis. The bill was going to be voted on quickly; contained many controversial items. It would've passed, even w/every Dem voting No. Walker repeatedly said he would NOT compromise. In fact, he ridiculed the process in the "faux" Koch call, saying he'd trick them into coming back, they could talk all they wanted, but he'd never change. They left to give the public time to digest this extreme bill. It all could've been averted had Walker sat down/worked it out.

  • We must all support the American workforce for fair wages and good healthcare for all. We must care more about are average wage earners and not so much For unscrupulous businessmen. Fair trade not free trade..Non-union workers would also benefit as employers would likely raise wages to match what unions would win in order to avoid unionization. They help fair wages to exist Buy American when you can. Go on line to - Made in USA.- Demand stores to carry more American products.

  • YES! You can CLEARLY hear the protesters throughout this video! And, Senator Barca, YOU WERE AMAZING! THANK YOU!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video!

  • Been following Madison last 4wks. I'm an Independent w/Democratic leanings w/some GOPers getting my vote. No longer. It's like I've had an epiphany: will NEVER again vote Republican. I'm unable to TRUST them. Watching this, listening to Fitzgerald admit their true agenda youtube(DOT)com/watch?v=eLJdijPEBJE has sealed the deal. Their ultimate concern isn't for Wis, or the budget, as much as it is for the GOP and the long-term weakening of Dem Party. A Walker Miscalculation? No. A Walker Fiasco.

  • @concerned8285 is d video taken off, I'm in australia and I cant find it, what's the title of the video?

  • @tenshiXIII The youtube address is youtube.com/watch?v=eLJdijPEBJE&feature=player_embedded. I apparently didn't include the whole web address. Sorry. Not sure if youtube allows directs links, so here it is again with (DOT) added. youtube(DOT)com/watch?v=eLJdijPEBJE&feature=player_embedded

The title of the video is "WI Leader Admits His Union-busting agenda is intended to hurt Obama reelection"

  • @tenshiXIII Have you heard audio of the Walker/"faux" Koch phone call? Gleeful Walker "spilling the beans" "polishing the apple". Worth listening to again. Youtube.com/watch?v=WBnSv3a6Nh4 A few of the errors of Walker's boastfulness: @0:30 PolitiFact confirmed this is a lie: almost all from in-state; @1:32 Pwr of atty could be/was given to staffer(s) to pk up mail. @4:16 --14 Dem Sen pd all out of OWN pockets. @9:00 NYT story needed more research: "union guy" turned out to be non-union.

  • this is fucking unconstitutional the senators have to vote on it and seeing that their still in illinois this passing of the bill is unconstitutional and walker shuld be removed for that and also taking away our collective bargening rights which will not save them any money but compound the problem also this government is no longer of the people, its a representative democracy which is more like a comunism

  • @Exclusivelibary Dude, use some fucking punctuation marks. Stop setting English back into the Stone Age.

  • this is fucking unconstitutional the senators have to vote on it and seeing that their still in illinois this passing of the bill is unconstitutional and walker shuld be removed for that and also taking away our collective bargening rights which will not save them any money but compound the problem

  • freaking sexy. I wish my vids were that hot!

  • Look at all those rich-ass whities, trying to get 'their fair share' of the bill.

lmao, conservatism isn't even politics any more than "How do we get the rich richer" whilst smoking a bigass cigar.

I can actually imagine all of these dudes telling their family/children at home saying "Family... We have to lose one of our 15 yachts due to budget shortfall.." as a single tear droplet rolls down their rubbery aged face.

  • Scott Walker lied his way into office. Now he must go. He's just a mouth piece for unscrupulous companies that want to dodge there fair share of taxes on the backs of average people. And have us all live like third world country's. Going backward in pay. Instead of forward. Support Americans buy USA at stores and on line at Made in USA. Demand it

  • "The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government."

If this is no longer the case, this is no longer the United Stated of America.

If the will of the people isn't being considered, I say revolt. Make your voice heard one way or another, in Wisconsin, or this will continue all across America.

  • The will of the people has been railroaded by far right-wing Tea Party extremists.

  • Yes they get more corrupt every year. Because nobody hold them accountable. The Bush war crimes were never prosecuted, the banksters never put in jail.

  • their indifference to the people who they are representing makes me sick to my stomach

  • 4:53 OH SHIT SON

  • Erm these should all be dislikes, not likes.

  • Shame on the wisconsin republicans! They just broke the law and put the workers and the people closer to fuedal rule, this can't really be happening here. But it is.

  • Senator Fitzgerald is not worthy of the name Scott Fitzgerald!

  • [][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][[][]

  • Appalling. If this isn't sure proof that Republicans only serve their own interests as well as the establishment/elite then I don't know what is. Michael Moore is right; this is WAR.

  • @CrimsonCorpus "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." Warren Buffett

  • I hate pompous white men who THINK they have more worth then the working people WHO MAKE this world go around and who make it possible for these fuckers to be DICKS!!!

  • @rawrberrys Not all pompous assholes are white and male. Not all working class people are of non-european backgrounds. Just a clarification. Thanks.

  • @drumobsessed I'm not saying that all working classes are non-european, and I'm not stating that ALL pompous assholes are white, I'm simply stating that all of the men behind that bored in THIS VIDEO trying to take rights of all working class men/women, are white pompous assholes, and I'm sick of it.

Perhaps I should have been more clear, my bad. :P

  • someone needs to assassinate scott walker

  • Quiznos quenches the thirst of JUSTICE.

  • take a swag from the quiznos

  • See you at the Capitol.

  • Republicans who think has anything to do with "defending real people" and not the deeper ideological implications are not thinking about the issue deeply. The Democrats aren't 100% right either. But the things they're wrong on don't stand to fuck over people responsible for educating children. But most of you have made it clear how dear education is to you.

For the record, no one is complaining about Wall Street. Teachers and nurses pick up the tab for corporate greed. Nice system.

  • @d1rtejerz One of my favorite sayings actually came from my wife: Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. Those who do, learned it from a teacher.

  • Awesome! Barca enjoys Quiznos, too!

  • Too bad Barca was wrong. It was a special session of the legislature and the rule he so passionately read aloud did not apply.

  • Why aren't people rioting yet? Fuck these people. Riot in the streets.

  • ".... we saw a violation of the law."

    *sips from Quizznos drink*

    "So, I guess, in conclusion..."

  • Typical conservative lawmakers. Don't even care about following the law.

  • Why do the most vocal proponents of free speech obnoxiously quash any speech they don't agree with?

  • hey iscubaMadison... learn the definition of conspiring. there was nothing illegal about what the republicans did. you must be a wisconsin teacher what with your horrible grasp of the english language.

  • Despotism is clearly on the rise in Amerika.

The Teachers clearly acquiesced to compensation reduction. They stood pat on their request to maintain Collective Bargaining Rights.

By this Legislature's actions, the issue is/was clearly about "Union" busting as well as budget balancing.

HEY CITIZENS!! AS TAXPAYERS (Rep or Dem or Other) You now should move to reduce your respective Legislators' FAT Health Care Plans and Pensions. "What is good for the Goose is good for the Gander."

  • This Is What An Oligarchy Looks Like!

  • BryanDurio - You say that Democrat tactics were used by opponents? Could you please give us a specific example of this? Because I can't think about what you are talking about.

  • @verisof

No one on the Democrat side complained when Republicans were shut out of meetings or were completely ignored by the Democrat Powers That Be. Simply remember the scorched-earth tactics of Reid, Pelosi, & Co. with their willing accomplices in the MSM.

  • @BryanDurio - Just to put this in context, I think BOTH political parties are full it. I'm asking you to give me a SPECIFIC example. Not a, THEY DID IT TOO. And while you're talking scorched earth tactics, there is that little matter of politically motivated presidential impeachment for something as trivial as lying about sex. So the "nannie nannie poo poo" tactics used by BOTH SIDES are pretty stupid. Please give us some specific examples, rather than resorting to FOX news talking points.

  • @verisof

At least FOX News gives a different point of view, not spewing the same garbage that the MSM does. Where's your love of diversity? Do you only like diversity if you agree with what is being said?

  • @BryanDurio - No, I don't mind different opinions. I actually welcome them. I'm not closed minded and will change my opinion on a given topic when the facts are presented well. What I dislike is a lack of civil discourse. I dislike FOX News not because of their message, but because they almost ALWAYS use the appeal to FEAR tactic, rather than present both sides of an argument. (MSNBC is the left's version of the same thing. They are full of it too.) I dislike corporate governance by proxy.

  • @verisof You and I are somewhat on the same side. I dislike both the Dems and the Repubs. What I vehemently oppose is hypocrisy. But I think you may be confusing FOX's news and their commentary.

  • @BryanDurio - Sorry, didn't see this comment. I'm with you, I don't like hypocrisy. Truth is, I find the BEST news source for me is my weekly subscription to the Economist and (sometimes) BBC News. Surprisingly, Al Jazeera actually does fairly bias free reporting on things. (I didn't believe it until I started reading them.) The Economist sold me after I saw the way they handled the BP oil spill. Now THEY really WERE fair and balanced. I've felt our entire gov is owned by Corporate interests.

  • FOX News, CNN, and MSNBC are all owned by large Corporations. They don't so much spin the news for their own benefit. They see that they have clients that WANT them to spin the news. I really hate this, because it helps to tear down honest public discourse over important issues. And it has helped polarize the way most people think. When people are polarized, they can't compromise for the greater good. And most people don't bother to dig for the truth anymore. (Too distracted.)

  • @verisof Well, I'd have to lump in NPR, PBS, et al. Their large corporate grantors wouldn't fund them if they didn't have a slant on their news the way the grantors want. Unfortunately, it seems everyone has a price.

  • @verisof Isn't it interesting that the British & other foreign press generally does a better job of reporting U.S. news than the American MSM does? I don't like our government because the Dems want to regulate wallet and the Repubs want to regulate your private life. They both stifle our freedoms and liberties. Yes, I am a libertarian at heart.

  • @BryanDurio - I have Libertarian leanings. I don't agree with everything about them, but they are the group I see the most eye to eye with. In fact, I actually donated to Ron Paul's campaign. I agree with your statements!! Pity the Tea Party movement got co-opted by the Republicans, though. I'd like to see Ron Paul's notion of abolishing the Fed given some serious thought. It would be the first step towards breaking the Corporate hold on government.

  • @verisof I really, really like Rand Paul, myself. I'd just like to see our government get back to its Constitutional limits.

  • @verisof Good grief...you are a Kool-Aid drinker, aren't you? If you recall, Clinton's impeachment was because HE LIED UNDER OATH. It doesn't matter what is was about - CLINTON LIED. And at least FOX News gives us rational people a different perspective on the news -- not just spewing Democrat talking points. I guess you also think NPR gives all sides of a story. Sheesh.

  • @BryanDurio - Well, since we are on rationality, let's stay there rather than reduce our conversation to more ad hominem attacks (like the ones you just made on me.) For the THIRD TIME, please produce evidence of a SPECIFIC EXAMPLE of your allegations to the group here so can rebut them. I also find it interesting that you categorize me as a DEMOCRAT when I have just as many problems with them (MSNBC & candidates) as I do Republicans. Why is that, pray tell? Is a different opinion always bad?

  • Really? Do a Google search. It's not that difficult.

  • @BryanDurio - Oh, I Google quite often, thank you. As well as use any number of other research tools. However, you're the one who made a claim with a generalized statement. Again, that's a FOX News tactic. So, to defend your CLAIM, please provide the rest of us with specific proof for your allegation. And if this happened, I suppose the DEMOCRATS didn't complain while the REPUBLICANS stripped our civil liberties in the name of fear mongering? So, which came first? The chicken or the egg?

  • @verisof Have you been asleep since 2006??

  • @BryanDurio - Far from it. I've actually been having a nightmare since the election of 2000, which unfortunately I have been unable to wake up from. I've seen sheer ugliness in all matters political since roughly 1994.

  • Except this wasn't an "open meeting" under the law. So, they can't violate the open meetings laws if it wasn't an open meeting.

  • Yes, guys. It's time to stand up against the terrible teachers' union. Those guys just make too much money. What an awful drain on our resources, paying those teachers almost $50,000 a year.

  • @jfuhrer89

$50,000 a year, plus, they pay ZERO for their healthcare, pension, retirement funds, and other benefits. And they get to retire at 55 with FULL benefits, including continued 100% paid for by the government healthcare, etc, with fat pensions. They will never need to work another day in their life after the age of 55, and will never have to worry about their retirement, healthcare, etc.

  • Funny how Democrats go ballistic when their tactics are used by their opponents. How does it feel?? :-D

  • @BryanDurio sad when we side with politics and not each other.

  • Walker is going to burn in hell…

And I am going to send him there…

(with a video smear campaign of the highest proportions)

My first video shows walker f**king a dog.

    Get your popcorn ready!

Click my name to watch the video:

  • A frivolous issue taken to the absurd, in order to block the will of the people of Wisconsin, who no longer want to give public employees unlimited access to the earnings of the people who support them. The violence of the unions, the refusal to listen or let be heard the voices of the earners illustrates clearly enough the spoined brat attitude of those who wanted a guarantee to the earnings of others, provided by the immoral intrusion of government force into the earnings of real people.

  • I love openly partisan reporters. So....reliable.

  • i dunno whats going on but i like that man

  • if you dont find this funny ill give you a pickle.

    /watch?v=nINCGXUBauY

  • every union worker should go on strike!!! EVERY ONE! POLICE ,FIRE TEACHER,NURCES,TRUCKERS .... WE need to band together and shut them down!!!! what are they going to do!!!! fire several thousand people all at one time!!

    STRIKE !! STRIKE!! STRIKE!!!!

  • @tivarhammer no, its not a good idea for teachers to go on strike but its a horrible idea for firefighters and police officers, we will recall walker no problem just make sure you get out and vote

  • @radiofreak56 The recall of Governor Walker is not a sure thing. 2012 is a Presidential Election year and I cannot see Obama allowing the unions and other liberal groups to spend the millions necessary just to gather enough signatures to force a recall election let alone wage a successful campaign. While there are many people upset with Walker and fired up to attempt a recall, there are also many people fired up on the other side as well.

  • @UncleGeorgeW of course there are, americans for prosperity has been doing most of the firing up on your side though, that's a group funded by david koch fyi, while i'm sure unions are spending a lot of money so are corporations, who have a lot more to spend, and unlike a corporation you actually get to vote in a union, but i guess it won't be long before you need some kind of microchip implant to vote, republicans have already passed voterid in wisconsin making it impossible for many to vote

  • Considering how simple and shortsighted some of you are, I don't blame you for wanting to screw over teachers. Yours surely failed you.

  • These clowns were elected, when will people wake up and stop being fooled???

  • This is the sort of stuff that starts wars. What do they think they're doing?

  • Man I read this whole thing, @2121975s, the rich pay most of the taxes but CG taxes (80%) of thier income is at 15%, they don't pay their fair share. Same as people making 8.5k-15.5k anually. All countries with similiar wealth distribution are socialist nations as they know they need the rich to support thier lower/middle class. If your excuse is business incentative don't blame CB blame the rep's refusal to enstate an import tax. Without CB unions can never close this distribution gap.

  • You've all been hoodwinked, bamboozled. Fuck all you religious cock suckers who are dumb enough to vote these assholes into office. Time to jump ship YALL.

  • Rich white men screwing over everyone else

  • @marimbadearco

Racist devils like you are the powering the evil force.

  • Mountain dew sip at 4:54 out of quiznos cup...its all just viral product placement!

  • Look at those guys. One Republican among them all is not a douchebag.

  • quiznos cup!

  • a bit of product placement for quizno's. the democrats are in bed with the sub sandwich corporations!

  • i literally cannot watch this. it's way too infuriating.

  • A republican I actually like. Impressive.

Good for him for standing up against this.

  • @ifidio2 Rep Barca is the democratic minority leader.

  • i'd say get the AG to put those republicans in prison.

  • Is it just me, or do republican politicians get more corrupt every year. I just hope conservatives figure out this isn't their party anymore. Stop believing the narrative that is being put forth by certain networks. Look at the facts and watch what is going on... This is depressing.

  • Fascists. Rule your state with an Imperial Walker

  • Poor Barca, twitching away in anger.

  • @bllsmb Screw you asshole

  • It is nice to see someone stand up to the unions.

  • Let the looting of the State begin! All hail our new Corporate Overlords!

  • Fitzgeralds are fasscist Wisconsinites!

  • Does Wisconsin have recall or impeachment? Not liking your opponent is no reason to violate the rules, and certainly not a reason to violate the law.

This is shockingly contrary to the democratic values the US is supposed to stand for.

  • Everyone involved in this coup should be put on trial and sentences to break rocks for the rest of their lives.

They're literally trying to replace the government with a corporation.

  • SHAME SHAME SHAME, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?!?

  • Now is when the state police should arrest them for violating the 24 hour notice.

  • Comic book villains

  • I am all for removing collective bargaining and am just as frustrated as the next person with the Democratic Senators fleeing the state, but this is not the way to push this legislation through.

  • What's disgusting? Breach of social contract!

  • I was outside at the time, just below the windows. Wow the power of that moment, just trying to keep drumming as all were thinking, what has happened? What new breach of social contract have the republicans committed in the name of profit and greed? Where will this moment take our lives? These questions are left unanswered even now, as this peaceful civil-action continues on into its 24th day of solidarity against the powers of economic gluttony.

  • A Molotov Cocktail was missing from this situation.

  • @CackSlop666

Do you feel mentally related to Jared Lee Loughner?

  • @CackSlop666 Violence only begets more violence, ANY means necessary is not they way, some means are, but you do not always turn to the sword when the pen fails.

  • @CackSlop666 The point of violent protesting isn't to make change, it's to inflict damage and fear on those who commit these atrocities. I know non-violent gets results in change, I just want these people and every other corrupt politician to think twice before destroying the ideals our country are founded on.

  • If the shenagins didn't bother me enough, that ring tone that goes off towards the end used to be my alarm clock.

    Disdain increases +15

  • My fellow students and I get in trouble if we accidently violate the open meetings law for any student meeting thats remotely affiliated with student governce or any budget, even if we are just meeting about ways to improve something. If I have to be held totally accountable for this law on the smallest scale, and they get away with this, that is total bull. This is blantently ignoring the law.

  • You DUMOCRATS have alot of nerve accusing the Republicans of breaking the law, when the democratic senators RAN AWAY from thier SWORN DUTY to represent the people of Wisconsin!

    Who's the TRUE criminal here!

I have only 1 thing to say about ALL UNIONS!

    SCABS!!!

  • @llMINTI3ll Who gives a shit about pointless political party squabbling when US citizens are having their rights stripped away from them? A self-centered piece of shit, that's who.

  • @llMINTI3ll Except the Senators are fully within the law to leave. It's a legal political move. This is an illegal political move. Learn about the government before you complain about it.

  • @llMINTI3ll Roflmao! You're so funny. Go to Amazon and find yourself a good book on the Legislative Process, the one by Walter Oleszek is particularly good. That should clear things up for you. Without giving away the ending, I can tell you there's very good reasons why the 14 haven't been legally challenged for their actions. Oh who're we kidding, I'll just tell you! IT WASN'T ILLEGAL, ASSCLOWN.

  • @llMINTI3ll How does it feel to be a mindless dupe?

  • People on both sides in Wisconsin need to grow the hell up and act like civilized human beings, not a bunch of immature asses like they are now. I am a conservative and am not the biggest fan of unions, but the government should be able to work with unions to settle labor disputes, like Theodore Roosevelt exemplified years ago.

  • Just a short message:

    FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING TEAPUBLICANS!

PS - I'm trying to "Stay Cool, Be Measured" .... but sometimes it's not working as well as I'd hope for.

  • You can argue about whether unions are beneficial or not, but the uncompromising, rash way that Walker and his supporters are handling the situation is uncalled for. People aren't chanting "Shame" for no reason.

  • was that funny or sad? I'm thinking both.

  • The rich are raping us bare and Koch Brothers fascist puppet show is laughing at us! We can beat the bastards!

  • These guys are what facism looks like. I'm not being hyperbolic. I'm a Wisconsinite and I won't stand for this nonsense!

  • Well at least Forbes anounced that 2011 was a record year for billonaires....

  • If you don't like it then go cry to your momma. The trucked in people from other states do not tell the people of Wisconsin who voted for their CHANGE what to do. You got hood winked and cannot deal with it. Pack your crayons up and leave town.

  • They aren't "stealing rights."

Unions are privileges. And guess what... we can't afford them.

  • @quotefork And yet stripping the unions had nothing to do with the budget, according to this bill. Oops.

  • @quotefork how Unions are privileges? Please elaborate. and how CAN't you not afford them?

  • @quotefork This has nothing to do with the deficit you miserable piece of shit.

  • You know, as an education student, I am fine with busting up any union that forces me to join it. I do not need free health insurance to be a GREAT teacher. Besides, there are plenty of lousy teachers that receive free healthcare and never get fired because they are in the union, and that is not okay.

  • @quotefork You're approaching this from a very narrow viewpoint. I, also a teacher, do not appreciate poor teachers leeching off of a system that allows it. But rather than targeting those abuses, you are okay with the dismantling of an entire system that. This system, yes, contains instances of abuse, but also provides protection.

I'm not sure where you're teaching but here in Jersey, standardized testing is out of control. This leads to a narrower curriculum and, instead of teaching

  • @d1rtejerz children in a meaningful way, we're forced to teach to the test. Research illustrates how harmful these tests are, when used at the weight that they are currently implemented. Unions are one of the last vestiges of protection from legislature that is hellbent on enforcing politically pragmatic policies that will only corporatize learning.

If you hadn't considered this, I'm ashamed to consider you part of my profession. This is not a partisan issue but a human one.

  • Why cant they just take them out. To dinner that is.

  • Republicans hate us for our rights.

  • SHAME!!!!!!!!

  • @T0mmyDavis Agreed... I'm a future teacher and I have NO problems with busting up a union that forces me to join it!

  • @quotefork Woohooo! What are you going to teach? Shop class? How to make a chess board? Fucking idiot.

  • Comment removed

  • @hmsixsixsix That's really disrespectful to rape victims.
