Hi Karen! I have watched your videos over and over again in the past couple years. I just want you to know that I think of Sarah and James often. This story has really touched me. They seemed so happy. I was watching American Idol last night, and when Chris told his story of his fiance getting into an accident and having a brain injury, I immediately thought of James. How is he doing now? Is he still fighting? Does he know you guys at all? Sarah had to make a tough decision, but she was young.
kept on praying and kept the faith james is still there and he will walk and talk just put him in gods hands and he will heal him and he will live again without health problem. trust god and his will. amen

i pray that james makes it through. my father in law had a brain tumor and had 4 strokes the last one was a brain hemmorage it put him in a coma. The doctors said he will not make it, let him go he wont wake up. well let me tell you the doctors dont know what they are talking about half the time, because they have no idea what to say when they dont know the out come they always assume. my father in law woke up he healthy walking almost back to normal. miracles happen my father in law is proof.

James is in what they call a vegatative state, he can't walk, talk, eat, etc.. the brain injury he sustained was just too damaging to his brain. He lives in a rehabilition place it's heartbreaking and my daughter had to make the tough decesion to move on with her life as she is so young and has so much of a life ahead of her. she will always love james but he doesn't know any of us.

Update for those who want to know, the accident happend august 15th 2007 it was horrible. James is now in a vegatative state sad to say. He lives in a rehabilatation center for people with severe tramatic brain and spinal cord injuries. At this point it does't look good for him but please keep praying for him, he was only 18 when this happend and it was not drug or alachol related. He went to church, had a scholarship to go to college and in an instant his life has pretty much stopped :(

I realize I don't know this young man's exact situation, but I do want you to know that there can be hope. My husband is a severe TBI survivor (severe! - was 20 yrs old) and here we are 12 yrs. later with college degrees and a family. It's not easy - even with most physical ailments long out of the way. We are currently 8 months pregnant. Our baby I named in Maori Tumanako mo ake tonu atu which means Endless Hope. Mark still lives with disabilities but as you see in the doc of mark anything is truly possible, its dependent on James spirit, and his supports, his family and your beautiful daughter. It is a journey, things wont return 2 normal but life is so precious, Im greatful totally and utterly greatful 4 mine with mark he has the most beautifulest spirit and hes so excited bout baby bless u

The love in his heart is so strong for her that even that brain injury cannot stop it. Continous therapy and rehabilation will bring him through. I have seen many brain injured patients come back from that state and be normal again. Don't give up.
