I was out working on the road, dispatcher was updating score via radio (game 7)...when those first four goals came in what seemed like minutes I thought it was a cruel joke...Patrick was/is an Icon...when he was having a good day he was brutal. When he acted like an ass clown (statue of liberty, etc) it sometimes came back to bite him. When he had a bad day at the hands of the wings, we loved it. We didn't ask why the gods of hockey whizzed on him that day, we just celebrated that they did.

what a great year i remember watching the game 7 and redwings scored like 4 goals in the first period and i was so happy i just turned off the tv knowing were had that game.And when i new we were vursing the hurricanes i knew we had the cup.
