hey my dad is going to buy a 94 v8firebird for $1000 and the only thing that is wrong with it is a optispark. how hard is that to change out.. i know that i will have to remove the water pump first

It's not that hard to do. I have a lt1 obdI camaro and those optispark's always go bad. Get used to putting in a new one every 50,000 miles.

@757irishboy was there something else wrong with it when you bought it? cuz i bought a 94 T/A and the guy said the only thing wrong with it was the tranny mounts and i ended up paying $2,600 to get it to pass emissions and run correctly

i dont know if it was the camera or you just have really crappy exhaust... but that sounds like a old truck 350. That does NOT sound like a LS1!! Is it a Lt1 car with newere model front cap on it?

dude its a burnout not a donut....donuts are for cars that dont have enough hp to do a brake stand....a donut proves nothing...my 81 f-150 will do a donut and it has a 6cyl but it cant do a burnout
