More precisely, the female is a Canvasback, and the male is a possible Canvasback x Redhead cross, as shown by the bill color, dark forehead and crown, head shape, intermediate back color, etc.
I agree. The female is a hen canvasback. But the drake I still think is a redhead. Possibly a mix but I think redhead
