  • I was a bit upset once when talking with Kieth, as i told him when I was in the Navy, and was walking the Coast of Marseilles this song was stuck in my head. He told me, he never been there, he got the name off of a map.

  • Grande Keith!! We love you!!

  • Keith, it is great to see you on here. That was an awesome version of that beautiful song dude. I'll never forget the great time I had with you, Jerene and Larry Joe in Key West 2008. I sure hope to see you out there again soon. Keep up the great work and take care. Joe Bennett

  • nice to see the vids from the artists I hear on allmemphismusic that net radio. sometimes its surprising as they dont look like i expect

  • Great Song!! - I 1st heard this on "Austin City Limits" songwriters special in the mid 80's, along with "I'm Not Strange"

There was another song that I can't find. I think Keith did it.

"There's a high hill by my house & I go up there sometimes & I think of you... You're my love, My only true love, and I love you every day... & you forever will be in this heart of mine."

Does anyone know this song? If so, what is the title? & Where can I find it?

    Thanks So Much, from GA

  • jimmy buffet - coast of marseilles

  • @LamarFine

I've got a copy of that show on dvd.

  • @LamarFine i've got a copy of that show on dvd.

  • Buffett did a great job but the author, Sykes, nails his own composition aquite well.

  • i honestly like jimmy's cover better.. maybe im biased because thats the first time i ever heard this song, but to me it seems like keith stresses too much emotion in it, and hes all over the place.. jimmy kinda mellows it down.. and im partial to that

  • Thanks for the song title! Correction made!

  • Thanks for posting this. The song is called "The Coast of Marseilles." It was from Keith's third album, The Way That I Feel. Jimmy Buffett also recorded a very nice version of the song, but Keith's is the definitive performance.
