he prolly just got it rebuilt with converter

its a fully built 4L80E with a heavy duty transfer case so he spent a few dollars on the setup, and yeah he launches in

4WD.

The transmission just by itself was just under 4,000,. It's a Class 5 Finish Lines Transmission 4L80E

yeah he made it into the 9's, not sure of the exact times but he did make it.

Yeah if he'd put slicks on it would have went faster but he was trying too keep it on street tires. After all it was a daily driven street truck.

It makes the truck more aero, in tests the the truck with the tailgate up went a few miles more. I used to run with my tailgate down unless I had somthing in the bed. After seeing the tests and realising my dad does know alot of shit I raised it up.

It's been proven though that removing the tail gate hurts it. It's called a trapped bubble, air goes over some collects in the bed and slows other air moving over blows over it instead of going into the bed.

He runs DOT street tires becasue it's a street truck. He won't run all out slicks. He's proven that over a 1,000LBS-TQ will break alxes and diff's quite often. But you are right.
