The "shakedown" is going much better now. It feels more like a refined machine rather than a stumbling falling load of [explitive deleted].
However I don't see how NASCAR needs defending from you guys. theres enough red neck hicks to back up the "skill" (or lack there of) in NASCAR for everyone. Anyone who has done any racing themselves knows that the only talent involved in NASCAR is the ability to keep a very cean line, and to feed egos to the size of a 3 inch brain tumor.

Have you tried LFS? Can't beat the physics and feel of LFS. The competition in high level leagues is INSANE and the skill level is mind boggling. PLUS no rip-off subscriptions needed. Just buy the software and you can race all you want with people all over the world. OR just use the FREE demo and you can still bang doors with tons of demos leagues all over.

True, true. Toyota stands for two things - body roll and understeer. But they're cooperating with Subaru in order to make their next generation of sports cars properly.
I'm not a fan of Subaru's 4wd cars either. They also tend to understeer a lot and I just don't like the way they drive and feel. Seems they lack some of the chassis know-how. There's plenty of FWD hatchbacks that drive better.
Toyota should ask Mitsubishi for help, IMO. The Evo can piss on Impreza.

1) they did not even mention radical.
radical has had SEVERAL busa v-8s for many years. they have LMP2 and LMP1 chassis/engine combos that have WON races.
2) the pikes peak car is in a homologated series.
there are other series for pure pikes cars like the suzuki escodo with no street equivalent
3) the LF-A is going to sell for double the cost of the GT-R
(150k or more)
4) nissan make some of the best engines in the world. and they make ALL of their engines.
toyota buys from yamaha.

As a motor sport fan I found Shakedown worth watching, and although the segment on the Monaco GP is old news to me, I found the other stories informative.
I'm assuming the haters aren't really interested in motor racing, hence why they found it 'boring'?

there's HUNDREDS of NASCAR-type divisions ALL over the world.
CASCAR - Canadian Association of Stock Car Auto Racing
SpeedCar - European NASCAR-type racing on road courses (being from Finland and all, thought you would of known about this one)
BriSCA - British Stock Car Association
New Zealand and Brazil both have their own series also.

Actually, I'm surprised Toyota is even making the LF-A, considering they have become the most anti-fun car company over the past 10 years; they went from just "not sporty" to full-on "anti-sportiness"
The Supra, the MR2, the old XRS cars, 2ZZ-GE, et al.
I still wonder why they're badging it as Lexus and not Toyota, especially since the Nissan GT-R (LF-A's main competitor) is not an Infiniti

True, true. Toyota stands for two things - body roll and understeer. But they're cooperating with Subaru in order to make their next generation of sports cars properly.
I'm not a fan of Subaru's 4wd cars either. They also tend to understeer a lot and I just don't like the way they drive and feel. Seems they lack some of the chassis know-how. There's plenty of FWD hatchbacks that drive better.
Toyota should ask Mitsubishi for help, IMO. The Evo can piss on Impreza.

Ehm, ChevyDaewoo Aveo is a disgrace of the car industry.
It has production costs of a carrier bag...and everytime I see one on the road, I stare at the driver thinking "you must be bonkers!"
There aren't many, but mainly poor people who've had no car or have had a rusted 20 year old wreck, people who pretty much don't care about cars and only want a "mover", buy them.
It shouldn't be used in one sentence with Fiesta, I think. That's how far from it, it is. Actually, is it a car at all?
