wow! this happened to me once when we were crappie fishing. hey i was wondering if anyone can give me some tips on musky/pike fishing when they're hitting surface crappies? well this is what happened, i caught a crappie and while i was reeling it in, a fucking musky exploded on it and missed! but it wasn't just going after mines but other crappies too. i tried a 4 inch rap but the crappies were 8 inch.. so please give me some tips

Its actually legal in a lot of the states, as long as the one you are using for bait comes from the same body of water
