  • I am a voter in the 13th district. David Scott will be gone this Nov. He needs to start packing his bags now and get ready to head back to Smyrna.

  • I think Mr./Congressman Scott needs to be voted out. It was pretty apparent that he isn't really listening to the people in his district. Or, if he is he is only listening to the ones that he agrees with.

  • join him for a beer? why does that sound familiar

  • joelbattle: yeah, tell me about it, buddy. I hold an earned doctorate, two masters, and a baccalaureate, all from different but top universities. Nice try, penis breath. The doctor waited patiently because he had to. That's right. He was willing to. And he later said in a TV interview that Scott could not be reached in his office nor would his secretary slate an appointment for him. The good doctor is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Scott did open the mic, btw.

  • Universal Care is the only true Care...Everything else is erroneous. Stop defending $500 million salaries, and start defending the ones who need your support. We are one as Americans, but some intolerant fools are seeming to think otherwise.

  • Thank you! Awesome response!

  • I can't wait for Saturday to see the outcome of the town hall meeting - watch the media coverage. The news media places a lot of hype on the negativity which grabs at the fear of its audience for ratings. I do not believe the media until I've read or done my own homework to help educate my own intellect to the facts or issues. Everyone should exercise their rights to do the same other than waiting to see what the right or left wing media will report. THINK!!

  • It is obvious the doctor did not want any real answers to his questions about health but to get his face on the news so he can get some more publicity. It's an old trick to go to a meeting like that and then shout out questions that have nothing to do with the topic at hand. And you can bet your last dollar that the TV news crew will cover the confrontation instead of the original topic. Why? Because it makes good TV. For the most part TV news suck and Rep. Scott did not have a meltdown.

  • Exactly! I totally agree with you!

  • I agree...did anyone see Bill Kristol admit to Jon Stewart that the government runs a great healthcare program; the best.

  • @samnews76 - Hey dude, the doctor's face was never ON the TV - reality check. And you should view the total youtube clip where Rep. Scott DID meltdown. Perhaps you should research your ever-so-enlightening comments before you make them.

  • This doc is an annoying ass. Why is it only obnoxious children that have problems with this bill?

  • The doctor had very valid points and he does live in the district under Scott who had previously refused to discuss the government health care issue with the public.

He came to this forum to ask the questions because it was the only avenue to have direct interface with Scott. I've heard many people in this district state that Scott is very difficult to reach and usually refuses to discuss anything with constituents unless he knows you are going to suck up to him.

  • joelbattle: You obviously aren't informed but instead shooting from the ideological hip. Scott had opened the forum to questions of any sort. Dr. Hill waited nearly 4 hours to ask him after being ignored by the congressman's staff in repeated attempts to meet with him in his office, as Scott whined about. He showed much more decorum than this blowfish too.

  • rickinchina06, obviously you don't know what you're talking about. The doctor DID NOT request to meet with the Rep privately or at a PROPER forum. He KNEW what this forum was about and waited four hours because he HAD to. The Rep answered his questions but obviously it wasn't good enough. The doctor, like you, is just another uneducated "blowfish" pretending to know what they are talking about.

  • All this name-calling doesn't prove your point if you have one. The Dr. was rude and overbearing, that does NOT make him "right". His questions matter but NOT the way he insisted on asking them. STOP confusing bullying with "debate", it's BS. Shouting to try to "win" is not adult behaviour.

  • wow dumbest dr ever...Its amazing what people who are antihealthcare will do to get thr "point" across

  • "antihealthcare"...Doctor? And you're calling the doctor dumb!!!

  • so you can solve all the worlds problems with a beer now ?

wicked I got some bills I wouldn't mind Visa forgiving me for, how do I invite them out for a beer ?

  • is there video footage of this debate that is not edited?

  • Affirmative action tard vs smarty pants.

And that is what we have in the white house.

    Sad.

  • This doctor is an Ass, she smells like ass too.. fucking retards.

  • I really get a kick out of the geniuses that come on here, flexing their "YouTube muscles", using childish language, then proceed to call a DOCTOR a retard!!! You guys are freeking hilarious!!!

  • Yes, because using all caps and excessive exclamations really makes you look mature.

  • This is a screaming example of why Fox News is mopping the floor with these baffoons. It's not that Fox is so good. It's that these liars are so unbelievably disingenuous. The American people are not idiots & when you can pull them away from the enjoyable things in life & get them to pay attention, they see through the BS & make the right decision.

There will be NO govt run healthcare. Forget about it!

  • I guess thats why 76% of the people are in support of the public option and the only people speaking out about it are tools like yourself whining on the internet.

  • 76% of the people are in support of the public option? Are you on Krack?

  • 76%??!! Public "option"?! Read the bill! Listen to Obama's and other architects of this bill, to their stated goals. SINGLE PAYER! The goal is to eliminate any "option"! The bill basically forces everyone into the gov't plan by heaping penalties upon those that do not participate in it! That is aside from the other issues this bill contains such as loss of privacy and bureaucrats making decisions best left to doctors, etc...

  • Dude, everything you've said is false or misleading. The (so called bills) circulating on right wing web sites are wholly inaccurate.

Personally I'd rather have a bureaucrat making those decisions than some insurance company.

  • i am sorry but doc hill seems more concerned with his bottom line than the hippocratic oath... oh wait a sec.... that is why all doctors go into medicine in the first place. hard data? the US had the most expensive system in the world... any other system... even France is cheaper... and oh yeah... the French live longer than Americans... go figure?

  • doc hill asked a question.

    No answers from your side.

    You like France...move.

  • 3star2nr: the congressman wasn't giving him an answer so he pressed him. Just like he didn't bother to schedule a meeting for Dr. Hill. Are you made deaf (and dumb) by your partisanship? Hill, btw, isn't a Republican. Nice job, Demoncrats.

  • "You All" (code: Whiteys) "African Americans" (re: my real constituents). Not a hint of racism from this congressman, eh? And he masks his ignorance about the health care bill by obliviating. So, so, typical. But he'll get a pass.

  • He'll pass because he has a point. There ARE townhalls about healthcare reform and this jacksass doctor decided to crash a forum about a road that is going to destroy homes for 80% of the black and hispanics in the area. I'd be PISSED OFF if some jerk offs crashed my townhall for something that important.

  • Universal health care will KILL a bunch more people than that. And Dr. Hill had just as much right to ask as those people did, he's a constituent too.

  • Soooo....providing health care to the uninsured is going to KILL them? Wow. Good luck getting your GED dude.

  • I have a GED and I'm getting my bachelor's from the top engineering school in the nation. Providing shit-ass health care with long lines, more bureaucracy, and less choice WILL kill people, make no mistake about it.

  • i think rep. david scott did a fine job. wonder what kind of doctor that wacko could be, he gives me the creeps.

  • gosh, I know... people who are concerned about overspending give me the creeps too.

  • The Dr isnt even listening. He doesnt want an answer He just wants to get attentiuon

  • Ha ha, a doctor who is afraid that he will possibly have his income reduced to $300,000 per year. How will doctors survive with just one vacation home. I'm sick of rich doctors.

  • How about rich politicians? Sick of them too? Or what about rich athletes and movie stars? They don't do anything for anyone but themselves.

Here's a thought, why don't YOU work hard and get rich too and stop whining about others that have worked hard and actually contribute to society?

  • Yes I'm sick of all rich people. At least I'm sick of the ones like you who use your wealth to hurt those of us who are down on our luck. I'm bewildered by you. You are either making a lot of money off of this current system or you are pro-life and are going to hate our President no matter what he does. I hope you never find out what it's like to not be able to afford heath care.

  • Like Camus said: "It is not so much having had power, but having used it to advance a society void of any real nobility."

  • I do agree that if you work hard, you should reap the benefits of your labor. However, unlike athletes and actors, executives DONT work hard; trust me, I was in the industry for awhile, and they put all their work onto their subjects. The hardest working people, per capita, are riding the poverty line. The rich get their jobs through nepotism, and advance by way of politics...that simple.

  • Executives don't work hard?? Who's responsible for keeping their companies in the black? Whose neck is on the line if they don't perform to expectations?

  • ...Then don't call one next time you need one...You are just clueless...

  • I admit it was harsh to say I'm sick of rich doctors. I am unemployed and panicking that I have no health care. My President is trying to challenge the big health care corporations to help me, and then imbeciles like you are siding with the big corporations. I'm happy for your wealth. Now please get out of the way so the rest of us can get the help we need.

  • Agree, however, the annual mean of dr salaries is now around $375,000, and if we go universal, which we will when Americans stop making decisions based on hatred, it will drop to about $ 210,000. You would think that this amount would seem fair, but Dr.s, today, feel that they are better than everyone else, and that they deserve a life of luxury while their patients live in poverty from medical debt.

  • Well for one, you are making blanket statements about all doctors, which I find repulsive. The other point you fail to acknowledge is how hard doctors work, and how much is riding on their work. They are well compensated for extremely difficult work that deals with life and death for people they barely know. They spend enormous amounts of money to go to medical school, and when they get out they work long hours and are vilified by the ignorant with a sense of entitlement like yourself.
