@ginesdepasamonte Tey can also open accounts and get credit cards and never repay. That is a big deal when someones credit is destrouyed. Also when you use someones SS and don't pay taxes on it, the IRS eventually comes after you for work your never actually did. Also disease is an issue. This is a problem.
@feldman30012 While it is true that they can get credit cards with a SS#, they almost never do. They do pay taxes with that #. The taxes are taken out with each pay check. If they do not file a tax return, the vast majority of these undocumented workers do not earn enough to require paying anything more than what was taken out. So, by not filing a tax return, all their would-be refund goes uncollected. The problems that you speak of are, in reality, all but nonexistent.

The vast majority use the number in order to work and nothing else. That amounts to their one criminal act. Still, including that the undocumented are five times less likely to commit a crime than their documented counterparts. Also when you use someones SS and don't pay taxes on it, the IRS eventually comes after you for work your never actually did. Also disease is an issue. This is a problem.

@feldman30012 While it is true that they can get credit cards with a SS#, they almost never do. They do pay taxes with that #. The taxes are taken out with each pay check. If they do not file a tax return, the vast majority of these undocumented workers do not earn enough to require paying anything more than what was taken out. So, by not filing a tax return, all their would-be refund goes uncollected. The problems that you speak of are, in reality, all but nonexistent.

This crap pisses me off. My nephew was 10 years old when he received an IRS bill. We later found out that someone illegally here was using his SOCIAL. When my nephew graduated from high school in 2006 he got a job and filed his tax like any American. When he filed his taxes, he was told that someone else already filed under that same SOCIAL. We were blown away. Get this shit fixed.
