This game was acee when I was young, always played on it on my PS2, then the sodding console broke :( I miss playing as the Mean Machine, it was ALWAYS my favourite of the Wacky Racers.

if you go straight from the starting line you can use 3 tokens for that boost thing and go over the hill thats how i got ahead
