  • jhonny unitas the best? lol i think you forgot about peyton manning but, dont worry about it

  • Though I never lived in Baltimore I do remember Chuck broadcasting Colt games for CBS on occasion.

  • "Our National Beer ground level camera," Thompson plugs. He worked for the Highlandtown brewery, hired with only a handshake by the brewer who became the O's eventual owner, Jerry Hofberger. Thompson, always as crisp as a crabcake, delighted fans from the Land of Pleasant Living all the way to the Cooperstown Hall of Fame. He mastered the understatement, never exagerating, yet creating excitement with his smooth baritone and colorful adjectives and anecdotes.

  • @Fairfaxcat Very well put sir, did you come up with that yourself or is that from a bio or something? Either way, thanks for the comment. Watch for more as I'll be posting the highlights from the 67 & 68 seasons soon!

  • Thanks so much for posting this! JOHNNY UNITAS THE BEST THERE EVER WAS!!!

  • @mulehead126 ...indeed he was Mr Mulehead, he certainly was.

  • Thanks for this great clip. I grew up a Chargers fan in Southern California but always loved watching the BALTIMORE Colts.....and all their players. Johnny U and Gino the Giant among others. Chuck Thompson's voice and how about that National "Bo" plug? The Colts ownership of the 50s-60s-70s were high quality but the 80s sadly ushered in the "used furniture salesman" ownership. Bad luck trading owners (Colts/Rams) opened up issues then both owners died on opposites coasts and it's history!

  • @5dave1 Great post Dave!

  • I loved and still ride with the Colts!!!

I was shocked by the upset victory by the Browns over my "boys."
