  • hai this is very excellent explanation through view nature of the enter smaple into the MS-speoctrometry instrument, Thank You

  • speak up

  • it relay help us to understand MS.

    THANK YOU

  • good as a fast introduction on lCMSMS.

    THANK YOU

  • without some explaining words this is useless.

  • @tomsan84 this shows the operation of a Fourier transform mass spectrometer with a front end electrospray source. (1) mass specs require gas phase ions to work. from 0-20 you see ions being made. 2000 volts beween the tube and the inlet will direct ions into the MS. liquid phase ions (like sodium+ chloride-) are turned to gas phase by heat and gas.... when the droplet becomes small enough, the (+) ions push away from each other and are now in the gas phase and go into the MS.

  • its incredible how brilliant people can be

  • Marvelous

  • m/z is mass to charge ration, fyi

  • This is a Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometer. The sample is actually being ionized utilizing electrospray ionization, so not a solid sample. FFT means fast fourier transform. QB/m is how one goes from a frequency spectrum to a m/z spectrum. and there is no sounds with this.

  • Interessante em 3D!!!

  • is it not ment to have sound?

  • its awesome ! so wonderful, I couldh've never conceived it better ! Thank you so much for uploading this video...especially for a nube like me .

  • this is wierd to see the 2kV applied to the nebulizer...must be a solid sample?? I've only seen that charge (2kV) applied within a continous dynode where the ions would have enough kinetic energy after passing threw the quadrupol to multiply electrons as it hits the dynode... could u explain the sample entry for me?

  • when the graphs are shown at 1:16, whats does FFT and qB0/m mean?

  • @lewisjames1990 FFT = "fast fourier transform" it refers to a math algorithm to take a composite analog signal and give you the discrete frequencies that make up that signal... So, if you required a "C" chord played on the piano you could pull out the frequencies of the 3 notes....

  • very nice ! finally a video about a quadrupol mass spectrometer

  • how was made this video??????? With 3D studio max???
