  • Wow... amazing tone! NOTHING like my school's flutes!

  • Great sound!

  • You have a wonderful tone c: Good job!

  • Yeah, we have a audition we have to do at my school, and we have to play that exact part that you played, like where you stopped, that's were we have to. I think you did really amazing, I wish I could play my flute like that!

  • hey you're tonguing the rests wish i could this is our playing test. BEAUTIFUL TONE so jelious lol

  • YHU COULDN'T PLAY THE REST shoot and i was getting into it

  • @gummyfren2 sorry bud. haha I will have to make it a point to finish it up at some point :) hopefully you enjoyed the first part?

  • @lh19918 what do you mean hopefully i enjoyed it soooo much i mean it's kinda better than our flutes

  • @gummyfren2 haha. Good to know. just checking :) and thanks for subscribing!! :) are you playing this with your band, I'm guessing?

  • @lh19918 Yea East Mecklenburg sooo yea we are doing better though and no problem i'm a fan of yhurs now ^_^

  • Hey, that is a beautiful tone and nice playing, really!!

  • lmao i know im comment twice but i love your flute sound! upload more videos please!!

  • I played this for marching season and it was all slurred,I hated it lol

    but ur awesome! :D

  • wow im really late watching this one. I play sax clarinet and flute, and my advice is try second finger F#. make it a lot easier on the runs

  • Not too shabby but you have to get Giant Steps down first (at speed) and then I'll give you a gig.Chow!

  • One thing that I would say, though. Is make your vibrato more pronounced on the long notes, but I love the transition to your low notes to your high notes. Also, this is really picky, but try to not have such a harsh tongue, but I think it's really good :]

  • ok, thanks for the advice :)

  • I think you have really good technique, keep up that good work, and you have really good tone for the angle. Bravo :D

I think you have a very pure sound, and not airy, it was very pretty- and that says a lot because I know how marching pieces are. :/

  • Thanks so much for your comment :) We actually didn't play this for marching band though: we played it in wind ensemble setting. I have heard a shortened version performed by the Cadets and it is pretty awesome :) Thanks again, it means so so so much to me that you are enjoying my music. :)

  • I know how that double tongue run is. My school did Rocky point in marching band and i had that run a ton of times. -,-

    it was evillll.. haha

    yet i loved it!

    haha

    learn carmen fantasy xDD

  • I agree...nice playing. I do agree though that if you held the flute a little higher it would open up the sound.

  • Thanks mrfiber! Yeah, I agree. Usually when I play, I do hold it higher, but I think I was trying to work with the camera shot, and I guess I didn't know I had all that extra space :) I will definitely keep that in mind when I put up my next video...any suggestions for the next song? Thanks again for the commet!

  • That is so pretty. Good Job. I am a fellow flute player too.

  • Thanks so much! You should try to get a camera with audio recording so you can put up some songs! I would love to hear some! (especially glass flute-I love how they sound when played well) :) Thanks again

  • your technique is great maybe if you raised your flute a little it would give you better sound (sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt) about getting used to the open holes i only kept in the ones on keys i had trouble with then i lost them so no im completly used to the open holed flute, oh by the way you were great

  • Thanks! And with the plugs, I think I mentioned before--The flute that I had previous to this one had an offset G, but my current flute is inline, so I'm still getting used to that. Thanks for the suggestion about the angle of my flute. I usually play with it a bit higher, but I think I was trying to make sure the flute would be in the camera...apparently I had a bunch of extra space though :) Again, thanks for the sweet comment and for the suggestions! :) I appreciate it a lot! :)

  • Nice job. Are those plastic plugs you have in your keys? Powell makes "Plug-os" that are metal, and they pop right in and look just like a closed hole flute, and it sounds better because it is metal instead of rubber. flute world has them. I like them because they add a slightly warmer tone to my flute, so I use them when I play baroque music mostly.

  • Thank you! Yes, they are plastic. Originally, I had an offset G flute, so after playing my old one for multiple years, I'm still getting used to my inline flute. :), Thanks for the suggestion, and I will definitely look into that. Ideally, I would like to play without them, but for now, that would be a great solution. Thanks again for the suggestion and for checking out my video! :)

  • haha i listen it every day :)

  • Aww, well, I'm glad you like it! :) Thanks!

  • beautiful

  • thank you very much!

  • The sound is very balanced I think.

very nice. Actually I don't know this song but it was totally very nice.Great!

  • Thanks!

  • Wow! You're awesome! I'll try to get some recent ones on.

  • wow u r really good u have been playing for a long time i can hear but where is ur face any one that good is very pretty im thinking

  • Thank you for the sweet comment :)

  • Thanks for the comment to my video. All I can say is that you obviously can play a lot better than me.

  • Thank you very much :) I appreciate it!
