I dont get people sometimes I hope people will wake up soon..These teaching teach you to be happy and feel good and so many more positive things why is that so wrong oh wait its not..My life has done a complete turn aroung since learning all of this I just wish I was taught a long time ago becuase my life was so not working before this so in my opinion there is nothing wrong with anything she or anyone else that teaches along these line is doing wrong besides helping people in a positive way.

Many people criticize the A/H teachings saying they are pollyanna positive..that is not so. It is about getting oneself in the place of least resistance. Your emotions are a guide to the beliefs one holds. One does not want to get rid of the ego for it is necessary to human experience. It is just a matter of not allowing the ego to run the show. Nothing wrong with stuff, unless it runs the show. It is a matter of alignment with you and YOU and living from that.

Anyway, I am not surprised at all that "many seemingly normal people fall for this nonsense", as a lot of the teachings do make sense because if they are indeed stolen from other gurus they would make sense and resonate with many people. I like Eckhart Tolle as well though I have only read his book "The Power of Now".

I have gone through most of her videos and got access to her paid DVDs and here is my opinion: She's a nervous, egoistic, arrogant and totally controlling person. She interrupts her interlocutors, undermines their thinking and intelligence and sometimes insults them. E.g. "You're proving to be vortex dumb more than you really should", "Here is the reasons we don't believe you", etc. If being good and seeking goodness is what she teaches, isn't she supposed to be the good and ideal person?
I don't get any of the jokes.... Maybe because I'm too young for them idk, I'm 14. I don't get it at all I just stopped after I heard the people Laugh cuz I was likee WTF that isn't funny ....

It seems that the people that heard about Tolle through Oprah are still struggling to find something, they don't quite get it, but those who found him through other means, pre-Oprah, are much more settled and content with Tolle and everything else.
@BayviewFinch I agree, but I think the difference is that "pre-Oprah" (or pre-The Secret) people searching for this type of information had to be seeking it out for the most part. After the mass marketing began, millions of people were exposed to it, people who simply saw it as a shortcut and not a major shift of their perspectives.
@peaceteacher1 - I'm really enjoying Abraham lately. I think part of that enjoyment is that I don't get so attached to my thoughts like a lot of people do, and that's thanks to Tolle, who of course was just reflecting back to me stuff I already knew deep inside. I just find it weird sometimes how people seem to just read right over all this clear, direct goodness. It's like there's really not much more that can be said, yet people still want to hear the "answer" when it's been given to them.
