cool now rig that to run off USB power and it will be twice as powerful. I could do that.

but usb power is only like 2 volts and that one is like 9

nope the description on the video says 2AA batteries so thats 3 volts DC. USB power is +5 volts DC at maybe 500 Milliamps the high power USBs are possibly 1 amp.
