Multiple Desktop Sessions in a Single Linux Install

I cant get openbox to work when I choose gnome/openbox I get error saying somthing baout choose session=openbox-session and openbox --replace says about a dedian-menu.xml no found but its in the var/lib dir, I have tried debain lenny ubuntu 9.04 and linux mint all the same problem, I guess why this dude didnt choose gnome/openbox because it doesnt work, anyway if someone has a solution please tell :)

didn't explain how to install kde desktop with the "kde-desktop" package (I don't know it's exact name but you've really left a gap in the knowledge)

Hi Shawn, knowing Gnome is the default for Ubuntu, are the KDE libraries automatically included when you do an install of Ubuntu?

No, but they are automatically installed when you install kubuntu-desktop

Hmm, you should probably do this:

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

Go to psychocats(dot)net/ubuntu/

Read through the manual. And go all the way down to the "Playing Around" category.
