  • I cant get openbox to work when I choose gnome/openbox I get error saying somthing baout choose session=openbox-session and openbox --replace says about a dedian-menu.xml no found but its in the var/lib dir, I have tried debain lenny ubuntu 9.04 and linux mint all the same problem, I guess why this dude didnt choose gnome/openbox because it doesnt work, anyway if someone has a solution please tell :)

  • Hi Shawn, knowing Gnome is the default for Ubuntu, are the KDE libraries automatically included when you do an install of Ubuntu?

  • No, but they are automatically installed when you install kubuntu-desktop

    sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

    Go to psychocats(dot)net/ubuntu/

    Read through the manual. And go all the way down to the "Playing Around" category.
