Stryper's back; and stronger than ever! They adapted to modern metal as well as keeping their original style. It's a strong mix that works well! Check it out! :)
Want some Christian death metal (even grindcore)? Try Impending Doom (someone else mentioned it below), Living Sacrifice, With Blood Comes Cleansing and August Burns Red. Okay, ABR is more of a hardcore metal, but there's a good list for you.
I hear you on this topic, but to be truthful, the same thing can be applied to Christian Rap/Holy Hip Hop music as well. Let along, most mainstream Gospel/Christian music today.
Naming a genre after the lyric content is a great way to limit your audience and the potential of your music. On an unrelated note, there's a ton of christian metal bands that use growls/screams, it's become a huuge trend. (Just answering a question he raised earlier in this video.) Christian Rock capitalizes off of people's religion.
Also, I get from my christian friends and family that some things couldn't be Christian because they're too heavy (ie. bands like Haste the Day, Flyleaf, and Children 18:3 even). That's the ridiculous part that gets to me.
I loved the way you presented yourself. Sure you stumbled a couple times but you know, it makes it real. It's difficult when you have the one side, my church friends, getting upset because I listen to "Over the Hills And Far Away," by Nightwish only because it's about a man who cheated with his best friend's wife. Then again, on the other hand, I have people who judge me because I'll play something like Otep followed by a spiritually powerful Flyleaf song. There's no end.
yah some christian rock song r so powerful i dont even realize their christain rock. like Superchicks song Stand in the Rain. i had no idea that it was christain rock and i googled the band it right there they were a christain band. same with Flyleaf! i had no idea and it shocked when i found out i was like: "Holy Tomatoes!" :) so there are bands and songs out that are realy good and powerful that could make u think twice on ur chocies on life. but thats my opinion realy :)
I have a few friends who are among those who wont listen to regular rock stations simply because they do not preach a Christian message. Needless to say, I don't listen to music with them very much. On a side note, and just for you dst, I know you're a big metallica fan, but I really just can't get in to their new stuff. They did right by Enter Sandman and One (and so on) on their older albums, but as of late... no thank you.

Normally a Youtuber would argue with you about it but I won't. I'm just gonna take your word for it since you respected my opinion. Thank you.
