The amount of force you can defend yourself with is, according to law (both in the US and Canada, and likely other nations), specifically the "least amount of force necessary". The Police Dogs are giving badges and badge numbers just like a regular officer would plus the other officers would perceive that as a death situation directed at one of their officers and would react by shooting you.
