In the Special Edition...the lead stormtrooper says close the blast doors....in the "Death Star" novel version by Michael Reeves...the lead stormtrooper quietly allows Han Solo & Chewbacca to escape because he has become disgusted with the Empire over Alderaan....so that scene plays with consistency...

@shelltwin1 Actually I remember from when I was a kid the line, "Close the blast doors" being in there as well. They made several copies of the original print, all with slight differences. So yeah, that line was in at least one copy of the original release as well as the SE.

They should totally make a remake of the original trilogy (or at least this one). I mean, we've had to live with the epic story of the original with the crappy graphics of the age, and the less-inspiring story of the prequal with better graphics. Why not combine them?

By the way, George Lucas already digitally remastered and added CGI to the original trilogy...and the only thing I like better about the Special Edition is the slightly better Death Star explosion. No, never, ever, EVER remake the Star Wars trilogy.

It was made in 1977 George did not have the cgi effects butt even then this movie had some of the best effects for the time its an instant classic

Then again, the episode 3 fight is all them with only a few moves accelerated besides the background often being 99% CGI and Episode 3 is pretty good but a bit overdone at times

And this is them when they are older and Darth Vader is mostly machine, gotta remember that

Episode 4 is a more influential and better movie though especially for the time
