  • hi. i´m watching you from germany. thank you for teaching us, how to use make up. you are so cute and so sexy, i want to kiss you :)

  • I've seen a video of an Asian lady who had monolid eyes and she used some kind of glue. It was like fake eyelash glue.

  • Actually can you do something to address jowls on younger faces? Again cheers, you're fabulous!

  • I love the honesty! I hate to say but I could see it on you eye, so much so I'd have asked was there something stuck or injury etc,? Also, you eye really did not look more open to me all. I am looking for something addressing black under eye correction and is it different on deep set eyes? ( I think very much yes). Cheers

  • i have used them, because i'm asian. Asian have smaller eyes and it's very visible. so can you do an asian eyes without using it and still make the eyes looks good? Thanks

  • I love your honesty, its save me money. learn from other mistake rather then make one yourself. so Keep it up :)

  • i like your honesty:~)

  • your honesty is what we love about you! if we can't count on you to be honest then we can't count on anyone. i hope you keep it up. some may not like it but what do they want, for you to love everything you review? when something is not good it's not good and i would rather save myself the expensive and go with what you really like/ i have hooded eyes and i like my eyes just the way they are.

  • Love you, Love your honestly.... never feel bad about telling us the truth. I would have been mortified too! Sadly, think of the money they have made off of the people who did purchase them, looking for a solution to their individual issues. I will say this, I almost spewed coffee all over my laptop when you said that they were a "pain in the ass to get off"... I don't believe I have ever heard you swear! LOL... made my day!

  • this product works well for asians to create double eyelids. many people with monolids use them and their eyes look twice as big after. my friend put it on before eye makeup then only apply black eyeliner on it (as its close to the lashline, it does not look weird) then use some black shadow to blend out the edges. the tape can also be trimmed thinner so that it is not so obvious. AND, DONT GET THEM FOR SUCH A BIG PRICE! THEY SHOULD ONLY COST A MAX OF $3 FOR AT LEAST 50 PAIRS OF TAPE!

  • I agree with many here, please do be honest and I love your reviews!

  • Thank you so much! I just save £30 xx

  • I love your videos <3

  • I always like your true and honest opinion! Keep up the good job! Btw in Asia country you are able to get this tapes in a roll jus like scotch tape where you are able to cut into sizes that you want. It's really cheap here costs leas den SGD10 for a roll. You can use eyelash glue to add more adhesive if need be. Cheers!

  • I love the fact that you're honest in your reviews. I much prefer your opinion to somebody whos always gonna give thumps up smiley reviews. You just saved me £30 so thank you!

  • we asians not only could get these tapes super cheaply, we could also use a very fine scissors and cut out a thin strip of tape in whatever size and shape we want !! almost cost nothing !

  • The people who leave negative comments when you don't give an item a good review need to be ignored. So many of us appreciate an honest opinion and please keep it up. Being honest gives you more integrity and is so nice to see. I know I can trust what you say and can save my money to buy the things you say are good. Thanks for all you do!!

  • This product is sold in the masses in South East Asia. You can get it for like $2 for like 30 pairs or more in any beauty supplies store. We call it the double eyelid tapes and many chinese women use them to give them the illusion of a double eyelid. It really surprise me that they are selling it so expensively in the UK.

  • Please don't apologize for being honest!

  • Thanks for an honest review. I would have considered buying these.

  • Great video, thanks

  • This is a great video, thanks for your honesty!

  • thanks for your honesty Wayne.. I am your fan! ♥

  • You're so right. It doesn't adhere on powders and it sticks out. I've tried products like that and they're expensive so why not just use transparent or magic tape which will cost less.

  • Not sure if anyone else has commented this but i think u had the tapes upside down. It appeared as though the round edge was pointed towards the lash line where it should be pointed towards the brow. if this wasn't the case I do apologize but If so you may wanna have another go. x

  • I totally agree with you! I've used it before and I applied an eyeshadow coz i thought it would cover that plastic but it actually made it mOOOORE visible. a total waste of money.

  • i love your tips and honesty about products!

  • great vibe!

  • I love your honesty, it's hard to find people like you. Please keep going doing this, i just found your channel but you just have one absolutly fan!=) kisses from Spain

  • Your right! haha its just beauty tape you can buy cheap as chips! lol I think it's horrible how they scam money out of people like that! :/

  • These things do work super well on monolids tiny asian eyes (with loads of makeup on top)

really amazing!!!! but yea! they are super cheap in Asian countries and "eye secrets" sounds like a rip of :(. maybe try china town if someone really want to try them?

  • they are a very expensive double eyelid tape which is more of an asian product. people in asia who are monolids who want the illusion of a double eyelid use them. it cost about 2 bucks. thumbs up so he can see

  • I recently found your channel and I have to say that I respect the fact that you say it like it is. There are not that many like you out there. Thanks for the reviews.

  • great comments and true; i would rather hear hard cold facts then continue using or doing it wrong.

  • I really love to learn new stuff. I have a couple video on how to get amazing hair extensions by yourself or with alittle help from a friend in less than 30 min. Seamless hair extensions from simply extensions are the best!

  • in my country those kind of scotch ever boomed once in the beginning of 2000's ; it believed to give benefit of permanent crease on eyelid after extensive use 0_o

    they cost only 5000-25000 rupiah here(around 0.7$-3$)

for 30pound u can get bottles KOJI eyemazing [japanese product] that give the effect without tape but by pressing adhesive withthe specially designed stick <-this product is SAVER for us Asian women ... and theres other brands that even got cheaper price with same result ~~

  • What would be the point of watching reviews if you expect them all to be positive? Your honesty is greatly appreciated and helpful! Btw, this “eye tape” method has been around for decades within the Asian community of which you can purchase at a fraction of the cost of “Eye Secrets”.

  • What would be the point of watching reviews if you expect them all to be positive? Your honesty is greatly appreciated and helpful!

  • Hello Wayne, it's sooo refreshing to see someone giving an honest and true opinion of product. I try and do the same here in Melbourne Australia without any affiliation with any cosmetic/beauty company. Good on you! I hope you get loads of a work out of it!

  • We aaaaaalllll love you Wayne! keep being you .... Muah

  • Im sorry for the waste of money you had to put into this review, although, I really appreciate it! I have hooded eyes, and I try to find any tricks to make my eyes look bigger, and to make my eye makeup look decent, which is a constant struggle. So thank you for this reveiw, and if you have any makeup tips for hooded eyes, I would LOVE IT! Thank you(:

  • I'm glad u r speaking the truth and letting us the know reality of this crapy product ;)

  • OMG u can get those tapes for like $10 US for 20 pair or sth..it is really cheap in Asian

  • ohh, hes sexy !

  • I am shocked that any one would say anything negative about you! YOU are a terrific teacher!! Thanks again for a terrific review and telling us the truth! Especially in regards to these overpriced products. You are the Voice of Reason for your viewers!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is disgusting why would anyone do that to their eye.

  • LOVE your reviews... please keep being you and truthful...it helps ALL of us. (anyone that calls you negative can watch someone else and waste their money on products that either don't deliver or deliver at a cost that is much higher than they need to pay.)

  • wow, thank you for your honest review. It is so refreshing to see a real review. =) Thank you!

  • Thank you so much! I have hooded eyes (born with them) and was told they may fall more over time age you know. Thinking about surgery n not happy about that. Never bothered me until now, hmmm...TRACK

P.S. You nasty folks who call Wayne out of his name, you might want to check yourself, he's married, chose someone else...

  • xoxoxox keep being you.

  • this things are meant for asian eyelids, but the price is never 30 pounds...

  • Thank you!!

  • Love Ur reviews keep them coming xxx

I have hooded eyes do u have any tips or videos on how to do winged eyeliner

It just looks a mess when I try lol

  • Thank you for your review. I did wonder how these could work, and now I see that they don't. It's disappointing, but I am glad you gave them such a thorough and honest review.

I guess I'll have to think of another solution for my (extremely) droopy eyelids. *sigh*

  • i think it's just the company. ive seen them selling in asia for much cheaper, and they look effective. but it's not really an eye lift but a double-eyelid creation

  • I personally appreciate bad reviews just as much as good reviews! It's important to get the full story on a product, especially the really expensive high-end brands. I love your reviews. They are always honest and concise. Keep up the good work!

  • I appreciate your reviews.

  • Don't worry,only 13 dilikes your vid.1498 Likes incluiding myself.:)

  • For some reason the eye without the tape looked so much better than the one with the tape. The eye with the tape looked smaller to me. Love you cause you are honest and try to help people from wasting loads of money on products that are just not worth spending so much on. Thank you for being the person you are and helping us makeup artists around the world learn so much by sharing your talent , knowledge and opinions which mean so much more to us cause you are not tied up with these companies.

  • hahahaha. asians do that!

  • That's so expensive x___x and it sucks they're not transparent._. I usually buy the Asians ones for about 5$ (for 100pairs :D) and mine are perfect XD Try looking on ebay for "eyelid tape". These Asians are really good. Well... they're still visible... but just a little bit :3 they're a lot more transparent than these ^__^ I completely adore them <333 You can try the Asian ones... I can assume you they're muuuuch better ^__^

  • in asia,we call them eyelid tape..and we have tons tons toooons of eyelid tape with so many different brand and shape, and price..i can get us$1-2 for 50 pieces (25 pairs)..many of asian girls with monolid use eyelid tape to get double eyelid..

  • You shouldnt be sorry...you are an honest person and thats what makes you special.

  • wayne, i love you. haha please don't freak out.

  • Your honesty is the main reason why I subscribed. :)

  • @rachellouise0205 me too!! I love him!

  • thank you Wayne for always saying you honest opinions !

  • Asian Eyelid Tapes are muchhh cheaper, thinner & less visible, and easier to use than these.

  • I really dig your honesty! Don't ever say sorry.I tune in to your channel b/c your so honest. U probably save us lots of money by speaking the truth. I really dig U! There some girls (won't say who lol) who review items only to say there good to get free makeup from them which i don't dig. Your so honest & U have the worlds best tips!! Your great!! Don't ever stop. I tried you mascara tip about applying a small amount of mascara, curl then apply mascara & it worked great!Your wonderful!!!!!!!!=)

  • We would all rather an honest review that is negative, Thanks for your honesty.

  • Thank you for being true and honest!~ No need to be sorry at all! :)

  • keep using those products does make my eye single lids look loose, but in my case I also think the other reason cause that is the harsh way when I was removing eye makeup. Anyways,I am not using these sticky stripes any more.Perfer EYE TALK cream from Japan~really nice product.

  • For me, Japanese eye stripe is more easy to use & your eyelid achieve that invisible look.

  • Wow what a piece of shit product ..thanks for the review

  • You just do what other people are afraid to do. Plus like you always say you buy the stuff with your own money what would you wind lying to us? I love your channel dont change anything about it!

  • WE TRIED Eye Secrets BEFORE WE WATCHED YOUR REVIEW. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! Everyone should see your reviews before buying any piece of cosmetic. Thank you very much for everything what you are doing for us!!!

  • You are right. Adhesives on the sensitive skin around eyes can be very damaging.

May be they will come out with something better and cheaper. This is a good idea but a bad design.

  • Liebe Wayne , that's why we all love you! You have the guts to be honest ....OPENLY!!!

  • You have integrity thats why i watch you. I always know you are going to give an honest review and prevent me from wasting my money

  • They are WAY! too expensive not to mention the fact that they are very visible. I'll save my cash.

  • Entertaining review of a really bad product!

  • Btw... Even though you don't personally like it because they show.. couldn't people just put makeup over top of them??

  • God he is beautiful.... I'd marry him if I was allowed :P...

  • you made it upside down, :/

  • ahahaha those are eyelid tapes. can't believe someone is charging that much. you can cut out scotch tape.

  • Great, honest review Wayne. I suppose some people confuse honesty w/ negativity. I love your reviews, & it's plain as day 2 me that u r coming from the best place & have much integrity. That product looks like a right pain 2 me. And yeah, the price...wow! X0

  • No need to apologise for good honesty :) x

  • could you please do a make up for hollow eyes? i really have a problem with that.

  • hi wayne please could you help me, i am wanting to buy chanel pro lumiere but i dont know whether i am 20 clair or 30 cendre, i am NW20 in MAC studio sculpt, so which colour do you think i would be? thanks!! :) x

  • Thank you for the review. I've seen these advertised in the US, too.

  • It does help for people who've got hooded eyes, so they're ok on me.

  • Please don t apologize for giving your opinion. That's one reason we watch you is because you're honest. Keep up the great videos!

  • Wait, so they're just double eyelid tapes? You can get them in Japan and Korea for like, $2!

  • @gossmakeupartist Don't every apologise to anyone for being honest you should tell them to get lost you didnt deserve it and you gave a honest review and you were right about everything you said aswell you have nothing to apologise for some people just get off on being rude and your too nice! we all love you :)

  • that is waaay overpriced and your right it isnt transparent i think its a good idea and i would have tried them if they were 5 pounds or something but 30 pounds for tiny bits of plastic thats such a rip off and a shame too! good review :)

  • your review are fantastic! keep it just like that! :)

  • Is this trying to be posifif? Ha,ha . This is top-score for you ! I like that you try to be honest with reviews.. There exist such a sticky tapes for mono- eyelid to create a double eyelid.. These are much cheaper .. and I guess they work the same, grts !

  • Love your honest reviews - which is why I've stayed subscribed to you and removed my subscription to others who only ever seem to do sponsored videos. I appreciate your hard work and your dedication. Thank you for staying true to us, your general public.

  • Oh Wayne I don't think u need to apologize at all! The world needs people like you -- be honest! Love Ur reviews and tutorials.

  • @goss I agree with ms suzzann never apologize when being honest. I myself would like to hear the truth about a product thanks for saving me time and money!

  • The photos on their website are so typical for the before and after ads. One side: relax your face as much as you can. Other side: now tense your muscels as much as you can. And when I put on false lashes and mascara like the women at the end of the page, eyes look more open anyway. That is the only difference I can see there.

  • @kamikity does it really work for you, that method with the sugical tape? and if so how long does it last all day? or do u need to reapply another strip during the day?

  • Please do NOT EVER apologize for being honest, I would have hated if you made false claims about this product and I went out and purchased it and it made things worse, NOT only would it put your reputation ( which I know you worked hard for, at establishing yourself) at stake, so PLEASE keep the HONEST reviews coming, and DO NOT turn into some of these yt furus (fake gurus) who get paid by companies to give false and misleading reviews inorder to sell products.

  • WOAH THAT IS INSANE @_@ In Asia, they are extremely popular, you can buy something exactly like this for like 2 dollars US. Very good review though:)

  • what I been using is paper based surgical tapes cut into those shapes. I tape them on and then pack makeup over it. it works ok but still visible when eyes are closed.

  • I have droopy lids but no way I'm using those thingies even if my lids fall to the floor! For me, those cross the line between "enhancing" and "misleading".

  • thanks Wayne, I count on the honest reviews from you that is why I watch. So keep giving the honest reviews. x

  • Thank You for being honest!

  • Gross it looks like a toe nail on your eyelid

  • thanks 4 your opinion, if i didn't want it i wouldn't watch you. I think you r honest knowledgeable and great, thanks for taking your time to show make up novices like me whats what.

  • I'm with everyone else, Wayne. Please don't apologize for not giving a positive review. The worst "reviews" are the ones I find myself not trusting because they feel they can "only" give positive reviews. Therefore, they're not real, they're not fair, not believable, and not trustworthy. I am much more apt to trust you because you'll put it out there like it really is, keeping us educated and informed, not treating us as gullable, stupid meal tickets. Buying your own products also, major cred.

  • The bottom line is companies shouldn't be profiting from subpar merchandise. If it sucks they should'y be making money, especially on products with such little impact. However, you can find the exact same type of eye tape on ebay for just dollars!! So if you wanted to try it..try the ones you can get from china..on ebay. I say some for around $3.00 -Tabitha<3

  • Keep shooting straight from the hip!!! It’s refreshing!!!

  • Don't apologize for being honest Wayne!

  • Extortion. In Asia these eyelid tapes, made with the same if not better quality surgical tape, cost less than a pound for the same quantity!

There are also thinner sticky fibre strips and glue that aim to do the same thing..

  • i tried this with just regular tape and i look sooo weird xD

  • I saw no difference between your eyes.

  • Comment removed

  • you are seriously the best

  • This is a VERY popular makeup tool in Taiwan, a lot of their actors/models use to get bigger eyes/reduce the hooded lid, you can see it in Taiwan/asian beauty magazines. It sticks out like a sore thumb because you can always spot it when the person looks down or if it's badly placed. No matter how much eye makeup is on there's always a flesh coloured nub on the eyelid. It's good for still photography with eyes wide but can't imagine up close and on video as it's visible when the person blinks.

  • Wayne, don't ever apologize for having your own opinion. I greatly appreciate you sharing your views with us about what you feel are good products and not so good products. I value your opinion greatly!

  • @nlenert I would much rather watch a true professional make up artist with an honest opinion instead of phonies such as elle & blair who have no beauty trainning & lie. luv this channel

  • @nlenert Completely agreed. When you watch a review. you KNOW you are about to hear someone's opinion, and their opinion might be bad. It doesn't mean you have to avoid or stop using a product. It just means that someone doesn't like it. I've seen bad reviews of products I love. I really just don't care.

Wayne, I don't think you should just avoid reviewing bad products. Review what you want, say what you want.

  • @nlenert Totally agree. I don't want to hear false praise. :-)

  • @KirstyatRougeMUA No because that's being fake and I despise fake people.

  • Im soooo glad u did this review. I just started seeing these here n the US n I hve hooded eyes n were thinkin of trying these. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I cant say thank you enough...

  • I am glad to see you reviewed this product. I saw them advertised and my first thought was "are you kidding me?" then as the ad continued I thought "well maybe".

Why feel bad about a negative review? there are tons of products geared for beauty, you can't like them all, you are bound to run into a product like this that is very gimmacky. I'm sorry that your money spent saved me money.

But I'm greatful that your money spent saved me money. Thank you

  • luv ur comments thnku 4 ur honest reviews

  • luv ur comments thnku 4 ur honest reviews

  • I appreciate your honesty. I am not one that buys a lot of beauty products in general, but I like to know when a product is worth the price or not. I don't mind spending more for something that does what it says. I didn't find this review in anyway negative other than your saying you didn't think the product was worth what you paid. You weren't crude or rude about it, and I think your right it does just look like some tape. Heck I can get that at Office Depot.

  • Please keep reviewing....Thank you.

  • If people disagree, they are completely free to make their own videos and share their points of view. Otherwise, there is really no point in leaving negative comments as is if was aimed at you personally. I cannot believe how some people take it personal if someone criticises their favourite product or brand. It is simply mind blowing how someone can identify themselves with a mascara...

  • no difference at alllllllllllllll

  • I watch reviews to get info about the product and see if it's worth it or not. So if you feel it isn't good - I wanna hear it!!

  • I love your reviews wayne, its actually quite refreshing to see someone who doesnt give a thumbs up to everything and has some negative aspects to the product. I rely on reviews to help when making purchases and i would rather a professional opinion like yours when making such decisions :)

  • There's no need to apologize for Telling It Like It Is, Wayne.

That's one of your nicest qualities.

When you point out the negative aspects of a product, it helps all of us out here.

Even when being critical, you always have a nice manner. I just can't see how anyone could find fault with your reviews.

  • Can you return a product?

  • Please continue doing YOU. Don't change for any person. I quite enjoy your honesty.

  • u know u could get those in thailand a quid for 30 pairs

  • Appreciate your honest

  • I love your reveiews thank you for doing them

  • 신기하네ㅋㅋ I'm surprised they've got something like double eyelid tape in the Western market now. I rather stick with double eyelid tape which is tons cheaper. XD But this was interesting and thank you for your honest review! I appreciate honest reviews rather than honeyed ones. Don't bother listening to the criticism because there will always be stuff like that.

  • I love hearing your reviews, both good and bad!

  • Wayne,IDK who has caused u 2 start 2nd guessin urself or if its just something going on but all of us love YOU for who u r,4 not lying to us about products, for showin how they work,if its a good deal or too expensive.I ABSOLUTELY love your honesty n how u dont lie about a product to make the company look good.Dont apologize 4 saying how u feel, thats why we ALL love you.u r genuine and PLEASE dont let rude mean ppl stop u from sayin wat u feel. Please keep doin these vids u help women of all ages

  • I saw this product on TV for the first time today and thought, "yeah, right", so I found it a little funny that you did this review and I just saw it. Thank you for confirming what I thought to be true. BTW, love you videos! I've learned so much and really appreciate you explaining the "whys" to something and not just the "how tos".

  • I didn't realy saw the difference at the end of the clip, the eyes pretty much look the same. Those plastic things look pointless.

  • I didn't see much of a difference between the two eyes. You mentioned that it doesn't adhere well to skin with make up, but how natural does it look if applied first then the application of the make up? Does it hide well under the make up or looks like ink on plastic tape (not very well)?

  • as others have already said, holy cow that's expensive! there's an asian dollar(-ish) store here in vancouver called daiso filled with japanese and other asian goodies. they sell those for $2 or less. i can mail some to you if you'd like ;-)

  • *work better

  • like what the others say, the asian market is flooded with products like this. based on your review, the asian ones also worth better for a fraction of the price. but one thing i have to say is that the eyelid glues are a lot more effective and are less noticable. =)

  • get the asian double eyelid tapes.. pretty much the same thing...

  • in korea u can find those eyelid tapes everywhere for a dollar.

  • you should do a How To: Hide A Tattoo With Make-Up :)

  • i really appreciate your honesty :)

  • Your being honest and helping people well done for your honesty!!!!!!!!

If a product is crap its not your fault

  • there re lotsa of cheaper Asian versions of this product [and these have been around for the longest time], I don't know why this particular one you reviewed is so expensive, and like you said, there's no ingredients, and it's just a thin strip of adhesive tape.

thanks for the honest review, we all appreciate it. :)

  • The wink gets me every time!! Thanks for an honest review. This is honestly a product I never would have tried anyway, but I always enjoy your videos, and it's so nice to see someone be honest for a change.

  • Thank you for your honest reviews - is why I love your channel :)

  • I'm sad that you have to add in all these disclaimers to what is clearly an honest review. I really appreciate your honesty and how blunt you are. I think it's a good thing!

Also, £30?! Isn't it just the same thing as double eyelid tape for people with monolids? Because that is ridiculously priced.

  • Thank you! What a great review! Your honestly and expertise is greatly appreciated! All my best, Marie-Elena Makeup Artist, New York City

  • There's one that is called Wonder Eyelid Tape ( asian kind )

  • Wayne, please continue to vie honest opinions. Don't worry--if people disagree they will post. Also, it may influence companies to improve their products. It's a fair game.

    You're the best.

  • @misterfreehugs: I'll try to explain-I think it would be double-lid. It's when u open ur eyes the skin ABOVE the lid crease comes down to your lashline, hiding your eyelid almost completely. If u apply eyeshadow/liner in usual way, it won't be visible at all when u open ur eyes. Sometimes due to age, the loose skin hangs over so much that it interferes with vision and surgery is done (same as cosmetic eyelid surgery) I don't think Asian eye is due to loose skin, but same problem w/eye makeup.

  • If I came across this product online without watching or reading any reviews, I'd pass it right the hell up. What a load of crap. Thanks for the vid

  • what a load of tosh that product is! can't believe the price, huge rip off. thanks for the heads up
