  • Reptiles don't magically stay small if you keep them in a cage that's too small for them. They need space. Please stop promoting this myth. A baby doesn't stay a baby if you keep it in a crib. The only thing that affects their growth is how much they eat. If yours isn't very big, he's too stressed out to be eating enough.

  • i have a little blue diamond iggy and i think it is scared of my hands and i was wondering if u could help me or make a vid

  • move him to dee bottoom cage and give him romaine instead of spinch :)

  • Spinach leaves should only be fed occasionally, to change the scent and flavour of the salad, and carrots should not be fed at all because of the high levels of calcium oxalates. Your iguana's diet is completely terrible, I'm afraid.

  • hahaah my little girl ATHENA loves to sit on my head once i release my grasp of her she heads straight to my head hate the nails scrapping the neck, but hard clipping nails all the time

  • do a vid on chinese water dragon or ratsnake pls

  • @mangachick19 Actually, if you research goldfish, you will see that some caught in the wild can be up to 19 inches long. Have you ever seen a 19 inch goldfish chilling in a giant bowl in someone's living room?

    Just saying.

  • Yout amercian fat mother

  • do a video of a snake or hamster and curious how much did all of this cost for your tarantula and iguana

  • i usually feed my iquana a sald mixed up and some calicum powder in it and he is a monster 6.2 inches i put for the salad lettuce, carrots and some fruit like a bannna or a strawberry try feeding your ig some sweet potatoes they love them. and go buy some calcium powder at the pet store for him they will make him improve faster.

  • your iguana looks healthy but if all your feeding him is 2 kinds of leafs you need to put more variety in his food. spinach should only be given to him like once a week not every other feeding. visit green iguana society for all your iguana needs.

  • what about leopard geckos?

  • @CartoonsOnlyChannel i love them : * i have one named Izzii , shes way cool. They grow kinda slow I guess.

  • @raychfbabii cool, i have one named zella.

  • honeslty i could kinda go without the fucking shit music in the background...jeez

  • awesome my iguanas growing good

he is about a year maybe two i think im not very sure but he

was in pretty bad condition when i got em but after a trip to the vet and

after i got him on a good diet he just started growin im not sure if he is growing too

fast but he got big since when i first had him.

right now he is about 10 inches from snout to vent but yeah

    you gotta nice iguana

  • hey Floridafarm4900 Im planning on getting a baby green iguana what are the dimensions for a green iguana adult cage? I heard like 4' x 4' x 6'

  • ITS SOOO CUUUTE

  • Nice halo 2 poster

  • Dude ! , how many pets you got ? iguanna's ,tarantula's , turtle's , dinosaur's ^^, oh my god ! you have to spend a lot of money in feedin em and maintain em !

i wanna have an iggy but im not sure i got the space to take care of it !

    Greetings from Greece buddy !

  • @jimster19937 Haha yeah, but money for the food isn't hard, it's the trips to the store to buy it! But the love that you get back from the pets you have, is worth the drives to the pet store or grocery store!

Make space for an iguana! Find a windowed room in your house with plenty of light! If there is a dresser or bed in the way, move it!

You'd be surprised how nice it is to change things in your house anyways!

  • @DrAter000 hehe , ye mate , im trying to find some space to buy an iggy !

i like iggys from when i was a kid, the only problem is their length ! When i told my mum that the iggy will reach her height ( 1 metre , 60 cm ) she started screaming !

  • were did u get its cage

  • @aldairceron100 Me and My Father built it from scratch.

  • if that iguana is small for a 7 year old just picture this: Your 7 year old son has a 4 inch hard on. He's horny as fucking elfs. He walks into your bedroom where your dead aunt is fucking the shit out of her self with the nail gun in your shed that uncle fred killed himself with. She's on her period making it extra bloody. The ceiling is ruined and the new white carpet is blood red. Your son sees this and just starts beating off real fast with sandpaper.

  • i got a very big cage with a upstairs and downstairs with stairs must i put alot of fake climbing tree barks in with my iguana?

  • nice iguana. but do me a favor. just picture your mom. rAiling the SHIT out of your dad. riding him REALL hard. your mom is squirting allllllllll over the couch.... that shits ruined. and your younger sister is videotaping. then your grandma walks in, shoves your iguana up her asshole while she stimulates her cooter using ur vibrating xbox controller. then grandpa walks in, doesnt like what he sees. he goes and gets a kitchen knife, and slits everyones faces up

  • @chrisgallagher24 LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy FUCK! I made my day. That was by far the funniest shit I've heard in a long time.

  • woah that is an iguana! yeah!

  • oh and i meant UVA not UVB my bad.

  • I did research, and apparently the website I got the information on cages stunting growth was wrong, it only happens to fish. Not enough UVA rays? Don't you see he's right next to a window? Maybe you shouldn't judge how much sun he's getting when I shot the video when the sun was down, haha. Whenever there is sun at 7:00PM you let me know. I put the heat lamp on when the sun goes down.

  • the window isnt going to be enough. there should be at leat one UVA bulb for him to bask under. also the cage should be made out of plexy glass to hold in heat and humitidy. both are things iguanas need and they cant get it from a cge that looks like swiss cheese. i turn my iguanas sun light off at night too im not stupid i know what im talking about i understand the sun goes down at night but thanks for leting me know. agian this is not a wild animal its a captive pet. it needs different care.

  • That iguanas really small for 7 years old. Probably from the spinege (to much of that is bad for iguanas and you feed it to him every day.) the best thing for them is greens. also it look like he wasn't geting the proper UVB rays. At his age for a male he should be bigger. I'm not trying to get on your case I'm just looking out for your iguana.

  • Of course an Iguana is suppose to be bigger, it's bigger when it's WILD and has enough space. Even though the cage I have for him is big, iguanas adapt to their environment and it stunts their growth. Proper UVB rays? I give him 5 times of heat lamp shut down, and 5 areas of the day I have his lamp on. If you don't think a heat lamp is good enough for a lizard, try explaining why my iguana is so healthy? Other iguanas have ugly features and have so many scars. He is my baby and I spoil him.

  • the cage does not stunt their growth. its improper care that stunts their growth. like feeding them spinach leaves and not knowing what a UVB ray is. UVB rays dont come from heat lamps. you need a heat lamp AND a light with UVB. if you knew anything about taking care of iguanas you would know all this. your iguana is not healthy! look at his size for his age! him being small has nothing to do with the cage! its a lack of nutrition!

  • Iggy was my prized possession.

I cared for him soo much, that after 5 years of knowing him, I had to get rid of him cause I felt like handling him 3 times a week wasn't enough cause of school-work schedules. He is the greenest, good looking iguana I've seen. Search up videos on YouTube and try to find an Iguana that isn't disgusting looking with deformities, and burn marks all over it.

  • By the way, I switch from collard greens to spinach leaves every two days cause he likes spinach leaves as a treat. What do you think iguanas eat in the wild? Triple washed collard greens? They eat what they find.

  • A treat would be if you gave him one or two leaves randomly. A treat is not a whole bowl every other day. I know iguanas eat what they find and they find alot! they dont live in a dry desert were they only come across food every now and then. they have plenty to choose from BUT you have to remember these arent wild iguanas we feed them certain things because we know it keeps them healthy in captivity. I dont "triple wash" my collard greens either i understand iguanas eat things in the wild.

  • Small size for 7 years old? I got him from a flea market where all of the abused animals are. I rescued him. To be honest with you man, I kept his cage clean, fed him expensive food that I couldn't even afford, feeding him the occasional spinach leaves, oh no, and I took him for walks outside everyday letting him climb up trees. About the cage size, is it not big enough? It has TWO STORIES. Not enough for a lizard? Maybe I should move out of my house and let him run around?

  • @Floridafarm4900 My iguana is 6years old and like 1ft 1/2inches

  • My iguana was bought as a baby in November 2008 (assuming it was only a few weeks old at this point) being 11inches long in total. Now she is 45inches long, is this normal?

  • ya iguanas are different sizes, I got my iguana when it was 3 months and 12'' now at 10 months it's almost 24'', they keep growing in length until about 5 years old; also I think females are longer than males but smaller in weight but not 100% sure

  • yeah ac/dc ftw dude!rock on!

  • Since you live in Florida you should keep your iguana outside... now, if you live in SOuth Florida you can keep your green iguanas outdoors year round only bringing them in in very cold months.... they will benift!

    -Orly

  • i dont know why but my iguana dosent grow that much

  • @iguana1575 if he is in a small cage, they adapt to their environment 'stunting' their growth (slowing it down or stopping it)

  • thanks

  • @Floridafarm4900 a iguana will grow bigger than the cage its in it dont stunt there growth as i have a 19 month old male who i just addopted from a 3 ft tank wich he was living in for 6 months and he is about 3 and a hlf foot long but he is doing really well now :p

  • @Floridafarm4900 and iguanas also grow very slowly

  • @Floridafarm4900 That is a complete myth, and anyone who believes it will keep their iguana in a too-small cage which they will inevitably grow out of. This is a HUGE mistake among amateur iguana owners! Do you know of any other animal which can will themselves to stop growing if they're kept in a cage which is too small for them? NO animal can do that. Please do a little bit of internet research, and you will have a unanimous outcry from experts telling people that this isn't true.

  • @Floridafarm4900 WRONG!!!! Just because he is in a small cage doesnt mean he wont get big!!!! If you were in a small house would you be short??? NO!!!

  • @Floridafarm4900

like the others said, just because their in a small cage doesn't mean they'll grow out of it. my explanation for this is genes. some people are tall some short. some animals bigger and others smaller.

  • cool do they smell bad i want one but my mom wants to know if they smell bad

  • only when they take a dump. Just clean it out immediately.

  • @kennycantdie67 no they dont smell bad

  • @kennycantdie67 if you dont care for them properly yes.

  • @kennycantdie67 they dont smell nearly as much as a cat or a dog :P

  • can u do a care video like what temp what food how to trim is nails that stuff cheers

  • I'll get started on a nail trimming and how to feed video. :)

  • thnx! u just gave me an idea about building a cage for my iguana when it gets bigger!!^_^

  • The iguana has nice skin and color.

  • Thank you very much

  • wtf..

  • I know exactly what you are saying about keeping humidity up with having other cages in the same room. I keep my iguana in the living room along with a small beta fish tank, a large veiled chameleon cage and various potted plants. My whole apartment always feels like a rain forest. I am looking forward to building my new iguana cage and yours has provided me with inspiration.

  • Yeah my whole house is a zoo. I try to keep it that way.

  • Me too i got 25 pets!! my house is a jungle

  • lucky I hav a ferret but I wanna hav an iguana but my mom won't let me.

  • I am so sorry that I didn't hear what you said about being out of collard greens. My bad. I have been told on an iguana forum that you should try and feed parsnip instead of carrot for better vitamin content. Also, I think that iguanas get more nutrients from tropical fruits like mango and papaya than apples (don't forget that anything with citrus is a bad idea like oranges and tomatoes).

  • no problem. And yeah your right but I like to give it to him as a treat every now and again :)

  • Also, I was wondering if the only leafy green you feed is spinach? Spinach is known for binding calcium in reptiles and should only be fed on when there is no other green on hand. The best possible green is collard followed by mustard, turnip and dandelion greens. They are full of calcium and vitamins and I feed a combination to my iguana every day. Iggy looks very healthy, but I am just sharing my thoughts. You can try to feed parsnip instead of carrots as well for more vitamins.

  • No, As I said during feeding time in the video...I was out of Collard greens at that time. So I had to resort to spinach in the video since I said my Dad was out grocery shopping. His usual diet consists of collard greens, with shredded carrots and apples. Sprayed down for one delicious, healthy meal. :)

  • Your iguana is a very handsome boy. I currently have a one and a half year old and I love him like any other person would their dog ;) I am making plans to build a cage and I wanted to make one very similar to yours. Do you find that you can still keep humidity with walls made out of mesh? Iguanas need high humidity and it was a concern to me.

  • Ah. Good question...The god thing about my room is that I run two fish filters and have other pets that need humitdity. So my room is basically like a rain forest without all the other creatures XD. But. I DO NOT see a problem if there isn't too much humidity. As long as you spritz them down with some water along with the enclosure he'll/she'll be just fine.Just make sure that they have alteast 5 hours if basking time daily if not next to a window. =]

  • Your iggy looks like a pretty happy boy! Nice enclosure too.

  • Hey! Thanks alot means alot to me. Especially since it's my life. The person you advised to watch. Mike..Gave me alot of reptile ideas for iggster for the near future=]

  • Nice iggy ya got there. looks like you have done a gud job with him. keep it up. =)

  • thanks I appreciate it :P

  • Take on me!

    take on me

    taaaake meeeee onnnnnnnnnnnn

    take on me
