  • I was wonderin if you know of any heavy makeup that can cover certain unwanted hairs on the eyebrows in replace of actually removing them? ....thanks in advance.

  • HOLY MOTHER OF PEARL IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!!

  • If you put ice on your upper lip or on your eye brow before your thread or pluck it will be numb and won't hurt; that's what i always do.

  • ya, i just did the lip.... my eyes watered :(( thanks for the video

  • wen you thread your uppper lip dose it make it moree hairy ?

  • Thanks so much. Can you tell us approx. how long the thread should be. Thanks. Love your videos.

    Asalamu alaykum.

  • hi i have a question, do u use some sore of moisturizer before or maybe after threading??? cause my skin gets a little red and dry after i do it... thanks :)

    P.S: i really like ur videos! :D

  • What type of thread are you using? Is it just normal sewing thread or a heavier thread? Thanks, Huda

  • it looks so easy, i've gotta try it, thanks!

  • I loveeeeeeee this video on how to thread your facial hair but i find it confusing how to manage the thread with my fingers to make the loop :-( ..but imma practice it and hopefully get good at it..lol

  • ok thanks for your answer.

    btw you are gorgeous.

    kisses from France

  • can you do this on your legs??? I never knew it was possible to thread on your self. I was at the mall yesterday, a kiosk stand is charging $10 - 18 for brow threading!

  • Yeah you could if you want to but I can't imagine the pain you'd feel. If you try it let me know how it works out for you.

  • So I tried a small area and it wasn't bad. I figured better to practice on my leg first then my face :). Of course I did do one small area where the waxing I had just had done missed and it worked beautifully! Thus what prompted me to seek out another solution in the first place:). Hope you are well and thank you again for sharing you talent and technique/tips. These are so helpful!

  • wait! i dont get it...why would u need to thread ur eyebrows? what does it even do? i didnt see a difference in her eyebrows wtf? am i the only one confused?

  • Eyebrows can become overgrown. Then people pluck or wax the extra hairs to remove them. Threading is another method of removing extra hairs.

  • You are so pretty are your eyes grey?

  • great video! you have such pretty eyebrows...but it looks painful when your skin gets caught!

  • thanks for the tips but i wanna know if you bleed when you thread your eyebrows?because when i thread my eyebrows it doesn't hurt but it starts bleeding.

  • no I don't bleed. I guess your skin is just more sensitive.

  • oh my this is neat..

  • OMG i cant believe ive lived 18 years and never knew about this

as soon as i seen this i tried it out

    and its kinda tricky

but i managed 2 do an okay job lol

    thanks a bunch

    xo

  • that's awesome I'm glad you tried it :)

  • wow she makes look easy and faster than tweezing.

  • thank you once you have your shape cleaning up the rest is a breeze

  • is this not a good idea for the first time you do your eyebrows??

  • Thanks so much for sharing. I've been threading for awhile now but never tried the tongue bit for the upper lip. It really helped...thanks:)

  • yw :)

  • hahah i know upper lip is the most pain ull feel in ur life..haha

  • lol yeah its horrible

  • ur so prettyyy without makeup!! lucky..

  • very informative

  • Thank you so much! I was curious as to how to do this, but the other videos weren't half as helpful! I'm going to go try it now...

  • I've never heard of threading the eyebrows wow...that's really cool. How long have you been doing it?

  • Oh wow, I tried doing the upper lip once, and it hurt so bad!!

  • omg! this was very helpful! thank you very much!

  • Thanks Eily SO much for your threading vids! You inspired me to try it and it worked GREAT! I'm so proud of myself for trying and I owe it all to you! I had a hard time finding cotton thread in my bag full of threads of all colors! Glad you specified the best one to use. If I could do my eye shadow HALF as good as you do, I would be FABULOUS for real! If you have any ideas on how to teach Blending techniques and maybe take us from basics to more advanced, I'd love it! Thanks :-)

  • U r Beautiful mashAllah!!! Ur videos are great help! Thanks!!!

  • HA!!! I feel so awesome now that I can do this!!! It really doesn't hurt that bad doing your eyebrows.

  • She's muslim (:

  • because shes muslim.

    duhhhhh.

  • Wow threading hurts like hell lol but thanks :)

  • thank's a lot i tread myself i learn after watching youre video MERCI T'ES GENIAL

  • ok really kool i have gotten my brows done a few times and sumtimes the thread breaks is there a particular thread to use or just any?

  • awsome vid =)

ive been trying myself i kinda get some bits of hairs nd miss some, im sure ill eventually get there and be like you xox

  • uno that part od the eyebrow that grows up? it longer then the rest, ya no? can u thread that off too, or should u cut some and then thread?

  • why do some people put an end in there mouth? like idk its like 3 sides...kinda like u stared but then the third part is in there mouth? is it harder that way? do u know how to do it that way? if u do u should do a video i would love to learn to do it that way 2...

  • Wow looks really hard to do.. Cool that you could do it on yourself!

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, you lifesaver you :D

  • not being caustic but...*sigh*... are you muslim?

  • your a idiot ofcourse shes muslim!

  • ok, why would you ask that? who cares if Eily is Muslim or not?! Seriously, as if it even matters. What difference does it make? None, so stop asking stupid questions and just enjoy her vids. Ps. Eily thankyou so much for your vids! Best eyebrow threading vids i've ever seen (and i've seen alot!) keep them coming honey! <3

    Cadence

  • stupid enough to ask that Q

she is a muslim so wut ?

  • hey stupid u can see she covering her head then ofcous she is muslim..........

  • omg, I love your videos, thank you so much! Would you do arabic dramatic makeup? (if you know how?)

  • Hi Eily I seen this video before but I am still trying to lear how to tread my eye brows but no luck :O( I just cant do it you make it seem so easy oxox Melinda

  • I am looking to add this procedure to my salon services. I want to thank you for showing me how you do it. You have made this really easy to comprehend. I appreciate you very much. Thanks again.

  • very helpful, i just learnt a new skill but need to practise on doing it faster!!

  • Wow... This is the first time I've seen this technique and I must say it's very impressive. And by the way you remind me of my mom, you're so pretty!!!!

  • I'm actually a guy {who has to pluck every week :( } and I must say your videos are great! Thanks for taking the time to post them!

  • I just tried this after watching your videos and I love it!!! Thanks for posting this it was so helpful!

  • Just want you to know I had my brows threaded about 2 weeks ago AND I LOVE IT. She even (somehow) gave me an arch!!!! One of those 'island' stores in a mall, a small shop open on every side. She was cool because she'd stop to let me check on her work 'cause she knew I was nervous. No more waxing for me, I will be returning for the threading. Not only was it painless, but quick and incredibly cheap, about $11. Should have gotten a before & after pic, it's quite a difference. Very clean!

  • Thank you so much! I'm a hairstylist looking for an alternative to waxing and through your videos I've been able to successfully use this technique on my guests.

  • i checked out other threading videos... and your 2 threading videos proved to b easier to understand n less scary to look at...LOL! kudos!

  • Thanks for this, it's really helpful.

Definitely prefer it more than plucking those pesky hairs one by one. ;]

  • Ok as a bloke I love this one the best cause I can do my lining for my cheeks.. I like all your other vids too but this I can actually do for me.

    Thanks

  • I love threading my eyebrows. I learned how from your other video you did on threading!

Thanks for the tips and tricks.

  • try to shorten the thread a bit that way theres more reisistence and it won't feel awkward when your threading

  • wow! very nice tip!!

  • thaaanx

  • This is pretty awesome but does it pull out the really small hairs as well?

  • yes it pulls all the little hairs, it leaves a really clean finish

  • Awesome video! Thanks so much! No more lip hairs! x

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • Thanks!

  • sometimes, the thread traps the hair but it gets 'tangled' so it stops twisting over to pull the hair out. If I use more force, the thread just breaks.... what am I doing wrong?

  • twist the thread more times (while it's in an "8" shape) before you begin threading. It's gripping the hair but not pulling it out because there's not enough grip that's why you need to twist the thread atleast 7 times.

  • I am twisting it at least 7 times, the thread kind of gets stuck and won't continue twist to the opposite side. I think I need use stronger thread, and get more practice. =)

  • What kind of thread are you using cotton, polyester?

  • It's 100% cotton, but I think it appears to be thinner than the ones in videos... could that be why?

  • 4 the most part i had this right, i think i had the wrong thread, which quality of thread should be used? silk? cotton? also, while you are threading could you give a mor toutorial of how exactly you are doing it, i was doing it wrong, usign my 3 (pinky, ring & middle finger) to scissor

  • Cotton is better do not use silk. And Check her other 2 vids on this for more info.

  • its best to use dual duty thread(thread used to sow in suits and such)

  • use cotton thread. If you watch the video again you'll see how I place my fingers in and on the thread.

  • i tried it and it worked!! thanks! ur the best

  • owh my god, without make-up you are so beautiful...

  • that looks painful, veryyy painful. lol!

  • u make it seem so easy!!!

  • thank you sooo much...nowi know why my fingers hurt when i thred my eyebrows..very useful video...thank you so much ^_^

  • I wish I had someone to tell me about how to position my hands in the "loop" when I first started threading...I almost severed my pinky off lol...but I absolutely LOVE threading in comparison to tweezing, the results are way better and the hair takes alot longer to grow back :)

  • Maybe your demo could have used a neon string, it would show up much better than the dark thread and we could see just how it entwines around the fingers for that "bow tie." Then when you're ready to begin the brow work, you could switch to the thread.

What kind of thread, btw? I'm surprised it doesn't break with the tension. And I would LOVE to use this procedure.

  • Eily, if you put an ice-cube on the skin you're about to thread it will numb it enough that you won't feel all that pain! just make sure you wrap the cube in a plastic bag so you don't soak your face.

  • how long does it take for the hair to come back?

  • it depends on the person! some ppl grow hair faster than others n some ppl take a month 4 their eyebrow hairs or upper lip 2 grow back! my eyebrows take 2 weeks 2 grow back whether i get them threaded or waxed =)

  • this i a good way i tried it except i fill in my eyebrows because its a much easier eay to know wut hair your going to thread ty<3=D

  • yeah filling in your brows is a good way to mark where you're going to thread or pluck too. It works great on the inner corner of your eyebrows.

  • no we cant pluck a single hair from our eyebrow..

  • thanks,,

I'm going to try it tonight..

    keep up

  • lol man i hate the mouth bit too. hahaha

  • I go to an Indian lady to get threading on my eyebrows and upper lip....the eyebrows is not a big deal, but when she does my upper lip I always get teary...it's like a reflex...the tears just stream down my face :-(

  • Threading is so hard for me I cant seem to ever get it I allways ruin the thread lol

  • thanks for the tourturial

uhm im not trying to be mean or anything but do have hair ??

(not trying to be mean just curious)

u just always wear scrafs on your head

  • she wears a hijab, a form of modesty for Muslim women iam definetley sure she has hair

  • wow ur a retard. ofcourse she has hair, its a personal choice, like if u wear a miniskirt, its like someone asking you....'don't wanna be mean but do u own pants'?

  • does threading feel like tweezing? since they both pluck essentially

  • It's slightly more painful because it can take many hairs in one go. But once you do it a few times it hurts less and less.

  • do you get hair anywhere else....on your face....and do you thread there also!! like your jawline etc...

  • no, I just thread my brows and my "whiskers" lol

  • I was wondering if putting baby powder on the upper lip, if that would help with anesthetising the area, the way it does when waxing. Has anyone tried that? I still haven't been successful with threading, but will try again with this excellent vid! Thanks!

  • Baby powder when waxing is to prevent the wax from sticking to and pulling off your skin, not to numb it. You can powder the area you want to thread if you feel like the string is pulling on your skin too.

  • This vid was very informative!

  • hahaha, I hate doing around the mouth to. I actually don't like doing sideburns too I find it very hard to do the sideparts of my face period!!!

  • does it cut or pull out the hair ???

  • threading pulls the hairs out from the root most of the time.

  • wut nationality are u?

  • Oh my goodness, I was cringing with you when you were doing your lip. It hurts me so bad when I do it there. Your videos are great and you are so soft-spoken. It's rare. Most people on youtube are outrageous and loud haha.

  • you are soooo sweet Eily <3

thank you so much for the video it was really helpful ^_^

  • Awesome vids!!!! Now I have the question, how big should the thread be and how you put it together, how do you tie it together, because when i tried it after I let my eyebrows threaded the rond loop goes to just one thread.. I hope you understand what I mean, i'm sorry for my english!....

  • my girl used to thread my eyebrows with one side of the string in her mouth and the other on one hand, she would pull with her teeth in record time, it was amazing and it didnt hurt

  • aww Eily.. haha.. i felt ur pain there.. i guess they don't call it "Pain for Beauty" for nothing. =P

  • This helped .. I tried this and had red eyebrows for a few hours lol...

This vid is really clear what camera are you using ?
