Great video. I am very proud to have grown up here and I bring my kids home every summer for almost 3 months per yr. to repatriate them. The one thing I remember that I laugh about today was when the stores were not only closed on Sunday but on Wednesdays too! Thanks for the memories.
@wgfarrah wtf, lol, lazy bastard. listen to you..."really diappointed with this presentation'....at least there is a freakin presentation to watch, why don't you make one yourself, with your high expectations and critical attitude. You must be one that brings the community together with your happy northern attitude.......how about telling the creator what you do like about it.....ungrateful ppl....I liked it, nice historical video. Thx.
An amazing video, well done. Does anyone know where or how the name Timmins is from? I am Irish and my surname is Timmins. My family and I are always curious. We hope one day to visit Timmins, it would be such an adventure for us. Thank you.
yess, sir i was born and raised there as well, i moved back when i was 28 and ended up in jail by the time i was 34, thanx to timmins finest...

Great Video..brought back memories of living in that crappy town. The french and English hated each other back in the 50's. STILL?
I'm glad we left....went back 28 years later and as I left, I thought, Man did I get lucky leaving this place and moving on. GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!
Move to Central BC..the jobs are good..the fishing and hunting is great and housing is decent.

I sure miss home!! However, I don't miss the cold.
Great video, I'll have to share it with my parents since they immigrated from Europe to come work in the mines in Timmins back in the 50's.

Really disappointed with this presentation. No captions to indicate when, what the photos were. When was the great fire?
No mention of one of the greatest mineral discoveries (copper, lead, zinc, silver) by Texasgulf.
