quite simple, the fox population would be balanced by the availability of prey, simple environmental science, as an abundance of prey emerges, predators in this case the fox would breed at a higher rate and produce larger litters etc, as the predator numbers increase, prey decreases = predators starve and breed in lesser numbers until the balance once again swings the other way

Man up people. Where I come from, foxes are nuisances. The eat small livestock and small calves. They also dig hole everywhere. Not to mention, they are very hard to kill. I do have dogs and they are trained to kill foxes. They enjoy it and my livestock are happy. Problem solved

I know from experience that when a dog has killed a fox he doesn't need encouragement to carry on at it. This is a case of some sad boy who came across a dead fox whilst walking his dogs and thought it would be "cool" to take credit for it. Oh and to save confusion for the person that posted it, the dog you encouraged isn't capable of taking a fox. You would know that if you had any experience with working dogs. Its just sad, get a life!
