  • No material is banned, they're all controlled. Uranium and cocaine included.

  • @lexichronicle2 This might be literally true for certain sectors, but there are substances that are absolutely banned in all sorts of situations, especially in schools - including class 1a carcinogens and the like.

  • @wwwRSCorg I don't know...in my HS chem class they Mercuric chloride, basically unprotected available to anyone who had the balls to take it. Personally I would never want to be in the presence of such an evil toxin. I had to use it but even I would never want to have something as toxic as that in my presence. Many years later, we never used HgCl2 in the college classroom ever. The only thing that is banned is that which is not fully understood. Ahh, screw it.
