unfortunately the fire was pretty much a write off when got there it was pretty much like you see in the movie chris got there pretty fast do to the lack of water our main concern was exposures as you can see it was very windy. its better lose whats allready lost than to run out of water and have 3 other buildings burn down. the reason there wasnt more master streams, handlines , trucks etc was the barn was located behind several other barns and we could only get our engine close anough to use
I don't see how this is 2 alarms with so little wet stuff being put on red stuff! There HAD to be water supply issues...... A 2 1/2" smooth bore could have put a good knock down on any of this from the beginning if you had the water supply to do so.
I'm in complete agreement with that. Although the building was a total loss, there is the matter of public perception of firefighting. They prob see several more un-deployed handlines in the hosebed, (INCLUDING a 2-1/2) and prob see a master stream setup on the truck and wonder why a more aggressive attack wasn't made. Maybe there WERE water supply issues, as this is on a farm. Still, where are the portable tanks?

Maybe the IC just decided to write it off... After all, it appears there's basically nothing to save...

why was there no water being put on this fire? I saw like 1 master stream in operation off and on for pretty much the entire video?
