  • i can make it rain bitch

  • Good advice. The thing is I just get focused on what I'm doing and lose track of where my hands are at. That's why I bought a cheap 7" LCD TV to use as a monitor that I keep in front of me. That's helped me somewhat...

  • If you're worrying about getting shots of your arm obscuring what you're doing in the future, you're obviously right-handed so put the camera over your left shoulder. Problem solved.

  • ah drat, you got me interested in how it was gonna turn out (& i don't even own a model trainset) & you never had a shot of the entire layout! you turd! :)

the bit that i could see was convincing tho. why doesn't model train enthusiasts ever make a train layout depicting a zombie holocaust? the trains could be armored & full of survivors!

  • @freedo333 a friend has a wwII layout it has heavy armoured trains and weaopes if i get chance ill photo it and post it

  • i got a question where did u get the bottles of that grass from did you get it of hornby website for like £2.55

  • @bluedog916 It got the grass I used in this video at my local hobby store.

  • tres beau travail.

  • Another helpful video. Maybe I missed it but how did you get the mountains in the background done.. It looks like a stretch to get to them...

  • Wow this guy makes it look so easy!

  • Would you recommend another glue rather than scenic cement?

  • You could just use a mix of 50% elmers white glue and 50% water

  • Are these instructions available in a video or DVD format? If so, where?

  • This series? Yes. I put together a few DVDs of some of my series. Most people are happy with watching them on Youtube but there are some who'd rather watch them in DVD format. You get the same thing that you see here on YouTube except that the picture and audio are better quality. I have them for sale on my web site. You can get to my web site by clicking on the link in the information box on the right hand side of this screen.

  • If there is a series you'd like to see on DVD and you don't see it listed I can put one together.

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! you're videos have been most helpful in answering the many questions about what type of scenery to work with and this seems the best way to go! When will you add more?

  • thanks a lot for the help.

  • Because of these videos, I'm seriously considering hand carving foam instead of newspaper and plaster for my next layout.

    Thanks,

    -Chris

  • Love what you did so far...

    Where is part 11?

Or at least the next step?

  • uuuuhhhhhh...

There is no part 11, at least not yet. I shot these on a digital camera about 5 years without any thought that there would be a site like YouTube where I could post them. There's other sections of the layout that still need to be carved, painted, and sceneicked. At some point down the line I'll be shooting more videos that will hopefully fill in some of the informational gaps.

  • cool but you can also use lil' chunks of greens sponge to get a more real 3D appearance but panting is no bad tho ;)

  • looks much better bige!!!!!

  • Thanks! I've been wanting to upgrade these videos for a while. I'm just a little peeved that YouTube won't let me just replace the old videos. I tried disabling the old ones and within a couple of hours of doing so I got a complaint from someone that they couldn't get to them any more. I figured I'd better keep the old ones public since a whole bunch of people have bookmarked them.

    Oh well.
