I hate it when you go back to one of the old Tekken games, and then get dissapointed by the speed the opponents fly into the air and the whole moonjumping thing going on - there should be a setting if theyre ever re released where 1 - graphics are updated straight from the original models , no recreations , and the speeds and throws to be much faster ,but not too fast

This is the speed tekken 4 should have run at. Tekken Should have a turbo mode where the game speeds up like in street fighter. Tekken is Awesome though

@zach7zach That is what tekken actually needs for faster gameplay.I hope in tekken Tag Tournament 2 they have the arcade version of ttt1,t4,t5 tdr and t6 arcade version and have a turbo option for all of them.

This seems like one of the easier 3D games to get running at full speed. I tried it on an AMD Sempron 2.0ghz dual core and got 40-50+ fps without speedhacks. I made it run in progressive scan too which I heard can either increase or decrease fps depending on the game.

Uff, Idk cause the uploader used a c2d 3,8ghz.. that's somewhat faster.. and laptops are some lower clocked with less fsb etc..

So that's a really meant question =( And no, not all games run "very well", GTA 4 only runs in low/middle details on 1440x900

Hmm, at least I think I'll get myself a new laptop next year, will see..

Hmm I'll take a look on the core i7-notebooks, because they have a turbo boost and even the slowest one can have the turbo standard clock up to 2,8ghz per core!!! And it has 4 cores (if it's like the desktop, then it has even 8 cores, 4 real and 4 virtual cores)..

So yeah, it seems to be a very big upgrade..

Hmm, but I could also look for a damagded laptop which has the cpu I want and then ask for the price only for the cpu.. but can't find one =(

I really want to know your opinion on subject -

will I be able to get performance like in this video without overclocking my system, here it is:

* Gigabyte GA—X48—DQ6

* Intel Q6600 G0 @ 2.4GHz

* 6GB RAM of DDR2 800 (1+1)+(2+2) CL5

* GeForce 8800GT 1GiB

(core 600/mem 900/shader 1500) no overclock

Last, but no least - I'm running Vista x64 and I had problems executing PCSX2+Tekken Tag - emulator just crashes.

Is this somehow connected to "64 bit"-thing?

Here's my 2 cents: Overclock your system. PCSX2 uses only 2 cores at most, so your quad won't perform any better than a dual core, at the same speed (GHz). So what you need is speed. And 2.4GHz isn't going to cut it. You need at least 3GHZ to be able to play most games at a decent (not full) speed. I have Tekken 5 and to run it at full speed (without speed hacks) I had to oveclock my CPU (E8500) to at least 3.4~3.6GHz (I have it at 4GHz now). About that crash, I don't have TTG, sorry. Try NGEMU

Speedhacks are an option you can use when running PCSX2. There are several to choose from, and they usually increase game speed, but might cause some glitches in some games, depending on the hack.

Usually, unless you have a powerful computer, you'll have to use this to run a game at decent or, if possible, full speed. With a dual or quad core at 3.8~4GHz you shouldn't need speedhacks, unless for some very specific games.

The processor is almost everything. with a 8800GT/9600GT you can max out PCSX2, provided you have a great CPU. Any videocard above that level will perform better on normal videogames, but will perform just about the same on PCSX2.

Now, with processors it's a bit different. 3GHz and higher should allow you to play most games, but not at full speed on the most intensive ones. Kingdom Hearts 1 or Final Fantasy X should play at full speed. 3.4GHz~3.6GHz is very good, and around 4GHz is excellent.

and I somehow fixed the fps problem in tekken 4 by experimenting with configs , but my only problem that i want is tekken 5 that just dont want to go in my PCSX >_>

No. You need to overclock. I'm telling you this because that's what you need the most.

A 5GHz Pentium 4 would not run PCSX2 well. And PCSX2 only uses 2 cores at most, so a Quad core will perform the same as a Dual core if both are at the same speed.

And a speed of 3GHz or higher is recommended. You can run PCSX2 with a Dual/Quad core at 2.33GHz, but most games will run slowly.

Trust me, I know. Go to the Ngemu forums and ask them (the user Bositman is one of the creators of PCSX2)

Your only problem would be your CPU. If you can, try to overclock it to 3Ghz at least. Your graphics card and memory are pretty good, it's just that PCSX2 requires a Dual Core CPU or better with high GHz

what's the problem? Just overclock your CPU (to at least 3,4Ghz) and you should be able to play almost as good as him. Your PC can play most games at good speeds, just overclock you CPU and you'll see how fast PCSX2 goes.

C2D E8600 (3.3Ghz)is the fastest processor for PCSX2 (On Stock Speeds).. but, if you like Overclock you can own Any cheap Core2Duo or Pentium DualCore (core conroe like E21X0) and overclocked to 3.3Ghz or more if you can
