it smells? Oo is it from the sweat in your hands? make sure you wash your hands and stuff before you play guitar then. lol. that's what i do, sometimes i even use hand sanitizer. :]

to get that much overdrive do you have to turn up a whole lot? i've never played a marshall tube amp.

actually my amp isnt up that loud in this clip.. about 2 maybe. the amp has 2 drive channels, one for a kind of crunch, one sorta for lead. i use the lead on this clip and its distorted about half way on the gain knob i think
