@bakinggurl Thanks for watching!! Lady finger's here in the US, are soft sponge like cookies...........if you have a bakery near you, they may be able to get them for you. I know outside of the US, lady fingers are hard crunchy cookies..............you may substitute lady fingers, with a sponge cake. Have a great day!
@princess200847 OK! :) thank you! :) I have lady fingers in my grocery store and they're cheap! :) LOTS OF PEOPLE BUT THEM! ITS KINDA HARD TO GET THEM! HAHA! :D
this looks lovely! so simple too, that only took you round about 10 minutes to prepare (apart from the hour where you set it) but apart from that its so quick! thankyou for making this video:) also i love your accent! i think its so cute, where is it from exactly?:)
@simmonsdrumsrule THANK YOU!!! I'm so happy your family loved this cheese cake. Thanks again for watching and making this cheese cake! Have a great day!
Thank you sooooo much for this recipe everyone in my family just loves it especially with the strawberry rhubarb topping it is DELICIOUS thanks once again :)
I tried this recipe, I added half a cup of sour cream and it was a hit! There was one problem though, it didn't set...I'm not sure why. We had to eat it in an ice cream consistency...I'm not sure if I used a low quality unflavored gelatin. :(
@serah79 Thanks for watching!! Never tried adding sour cream or gelatin, maybe that is why it didnt set.........Maybe the next time you try this recipe dont add the sour cream or gelatin, I know it will set and thicken up. Thanks again for watching and trying this out, glad you all liked it.
@musicbynotes Thanks for watching! The lady fingers are soft. Try using some graham crackers or even a sponge cake. You could try your crispy thick fingers,I'm sure it will work out ok. Have a great 2011
@SuprMars83 THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! If you live next to a "Publix" grocery store, they sell them. If not, you could ask a bakery around your area if they make them ,or they may know where you could get them. It's an excellent no bake!
Thanks for the great no bake recipe. I was wondering did you cut the piece out with the spring foam pan still in place? Will this hold together when the spring foam is removed? Thanks.
@EBABE143 No I cut the slices after the spring form pan was removed, with the lady fingers in place ,the cheese cake holds it position so you can cut it. Thanks for watching!
GREAT !!! LOOK DELICIOUS!!!! i have to try this recipe too,, ,:) by the way i have my own recipe too in my site.. there's indonesian cookies, because i'm indonesian female,, the cookies called NASTAR, it's special because in my country, this cookies made more when islamic great day... Happy CookIng All.. :)
@thepanda99 Where do you live?the reason why I ask ,is, if your by a "Publix Store", they carry the lady fingers. If you dont live close to a Publix Store, try asking a bakery, they'll know exactly what they are. They may even bake some for you. If you cant find a bakery close by, the next thing would be using a sponge cake or pound cake. I hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching!
@wrath642 No you can you what you like, use your favorite topping. If you whisk by hand, make sure you whisk it good, the mixer makes it easier and faster. Thanks for watching
eeeee!!!! i made this earlier tonight and my hubby, kiddos and even my MOM loved it! i didnt find actual sponge cake but i used angle cake.. and OMMMGGG!!! it is sooo yummie! thanks a bunch!! love me..sophiahb!
Hey I tries this using ripe mangoes and it turned really really tasty! i used mangoes because we barely have berries here in our country. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Hey I tries this using ripe mangoes and it turned really really tasty! i used mangoes because we barely have berries here in our country. Thank you so much for sharing this.
@frulate92 Did you use heavy whipping cream? You have to whip the cream till it forms a stiff peak. Glad you like it!!! Thank you so much for watching!
Okay i tried this recipe yesterday for a special occasion, and i made it with cookies and i have to say it was AMAZING thank you so much for sharing this recipe i was very stuck yesterday and your recipe helped me so much !!
but i have a question do i have to use lady finger or can i just like use the crushed cookies for normal cheese cakes??????? THANKS and its amazing :)
@Demitria113 You can try the crushed cookies,it may work, remember its two layers. If you use the crushed cookies, let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching! You'll love this cheese cake too!
hey i love it how you make your cheesecake sitting here watchin you makin it looks yummy! thanks for the upload! mmmm im gonah make me a cheesecake! but i would like to try yours aye must be way yummier then when i make mine!again thanks!
I made it last week and it was awesome!!!! Very easy to do and the best thing is...no baking!!! Since we don't have rhubarb here in the Philippines, I substituted French black cherry conserve and it was the best-tasting cheesecake in the world. Thanks for uploading. ^_^
Do you have sponge cake out there? You could use that, just cut it up, and fit it to the pan. You could also try using graham crackers as your base. Let me know how it turns out and how you liked it. Its VERY good!! Thanks for watching!
Grease 9-inch pie pan with butter, mix all the ingredients for the crust in a large bowl using your mixer or with bare hands. Be sure that the ingredients mixed are even. Then set aside for about 15 minutes. Place the mixed ingredients into the pan pan and shape it around the pan, but do not exceed on the top portion of the pan. Set aside.
I make a similar version of this but I used dream whip instead of whipped cream. I was wondering (since I can't buy dream whip where I am now) if you need to stabilize the whipped cream somehow because doesn't the whipped cream start to liquify after some time in the fridge? Does this cheesecake get runny at all later? I also make mine with graham cracker crust but yours looks yummy too!
No you dont need to stabilize the whipping cream at all. It does not liquify at all. The cheese cake does not get runny either. Try it, you'll like it and see for yourself. Its very yummy!! Thanks for watching!
Oh it is delicious!! I dont think so, but you could ask the bakery department, they may be able to get them for you. I usually buy them at Publix's. Not sure if you have a publix's near you. If you cant find lady fingers, try using a sponge cake, just cut the cake to fit the pan. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
It is almost like a sponge cake. They are just small size cakes.(finger size) If you dont have them, or cant fine them, you could use a sponge cake, but just cut the cake up to fit around and on the bottom of your cake pan. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
please please ingredients..please send it to my email..really want to try it but i can't hear ur voice peoperly..thank you for ur help..!!!it looks so delicious...!!!

No you dont need to stabilize the whipping cream at all. It does not liquify at all. The cheese cake does not get runny either. Try it, you'll like it and see for yourself. Its very yummy!! Thanks for watching!

You could, it would just be A LOT of mixing by hand. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!

sound delicious! and of course, can you buy lady fingers at walmart????
bertyn03 2 years ago 3
Oh it is delicious!! I dont think so, but you could ask the bakery department, they may be able to get them for you. I usually buy them at Publix's. Not sure if you have a publix's near you. If you cant find lady fingers, try using a sponge cake, just cut the cake to fit the pan. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!

what are "Lady fingers" :/ ?
or am i just really uneducated about food.

It is almost like a sponge cake. They are just small size cakes.(finger size) If you dont have them, or cant fine them, you could use a sponge cake, but just cut the cake up to fit around and on the bottom of your cake pan. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
