Excellent video !! Only can't for the life of me see how George W. Bush ever got his name in there. I can't and don't see him as a patriot. Remember his "actions speak louder than words". He hasn't lived up to the Constituion and to defending the people of the USA.
I'm afraid you missed the irony. Sandwiched between a slide that defined isolationism and non-interventionism and a slide entitled the "the cost of empire," along with the footnote that attributes the Bush quotations as originating from the 2000 presidential campaign and Bush's well-known policies, I was hoping that the criticism of hypocricy would be clear.
Ron Paul uses these quotations in the book to point out how ridiculous it was for his critics in the 2008 primaries to accuse him of not being a republican. Perhaps I should add something to make it more clear?
search "rejected: how the mainstream media excluded alternative candidates in the 2008 primary" in Amazon for an in-depth look at how Dr. Paul was shut out by the national media as a legitimate candidates for prez
Thanks for posting this video. It brought me to tears because it reminded me why I love this country so much, freedom. It's amazing that even after 300 years, the words of our founding fathers are more important then ever. I only wish more of today's Americans would actually heed their advice.
Why does "God Save the Queen/King" begin playing at 7:00? Its ironic to be playing an anthem reserved for a monarch while preaching the principles of liberty.
Omg, the melody in the background is confusing. We use this in germany for a children's song "all children learning reading" (alle Kinder lernen Lesen).
That's interesting. Do you mean the first melody? The first one with drums and fife is "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", the second one, piano only, is a version of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA", and the last one is a piano only version of "America (My Country 'tis of thee)".
Excellent! Are you the same person who wrote that wonderful blog piece about your own personal revolution? If so, it was positively wonderful! It brought tears to my eyes.
Great job Chance! Thanks!

I listen to a lot of Matthew Passion stuff. I'm also an atheist. So what?

This is very refreshing. It is nice to know there are still patriots out there.
Our Founding Fathers are rolling around in their graves over what we've become. It is high time we took our country back.

Great video. The US government today is a violation of possibly every principle a free and honest man holds dear.

Yes, the first one.
German refrain:
Alle Kinder lernen lesen, Indianer und Chinesen.
Selbst am Nordpol lesen alle Eskimos: Hallo Kinder - jetzt geht's los!
English refrain:
All children learn to read, Indians and Chinese. Even at the north pole all Eskimos read: Hello children - now it starts!
(I hope its halfway good translated)
The melody of the refrain is the same the rest is a bit different.
