I also had a cat for 21 years since I was 2! I will never forget her, she was more of a person to me than a cat.

At least you have 2 other kitties for comfort, I'm gonna rescue a kitten sometime soon. Life isn't the same with out a cat.

no cats are vocal animals. they need to be talked to.. they dont really respond to petting as much.. u should try talking to her (in human.. like baby talk.. not cat talk..) or hold something she wants.. that always gets my cat to meow.. :) but she meowed once and that was very cute indeed.. :)

most vets say that cats will live until they are about 12. but i know someone that had a cat that lived until she was 25 years old.

but five is young for a cat.

she just didn't want to meow. she was meowing constantly at anyone that would come by so that they would pet her. and that's just how she meows. her sister does the same thing.
